I used to have a kodak and I did that with my Kodak all the time as well as my new camera (I don't know what this one is though)

All camera sites have a driver download section - you can type in your model to find the right one and try downloading directly from the site - but you may be missing some files that's causing the error - It's really frustrating working with drivers - but it CAN be done......Wish I was more help to you

your a big help trust me...

I just don't know what i'm doing wrong..I uninstalled and reinstalled atleast 5 times

Shoot - then lets not uninstall anymore - if you've tried that many times I don't think it will help you - :( is there a way for you to contact the Kodak site ??? OR do you know anyone who is computer savvy to give you a hand ??? Can you add your camera to another port ???

Leave the camera connected and turn the computer off then back on again. When you reboot the computer looks for new drivers and such. They should have come with the camera so they should (should) be there.

Yeah I tried that but it can't locate the drivers

I'm not sure what all you've tried so far......

But, have you tried reinstalling the program?

Next did you go to www.kodak.com ?

On the Kodak website go to Comsumer Products (don't click on it, just slide your cursor over it) a box will pop up..go down the list to Downloads and Drivers

Scroll down that page and fill in the line..another line will pop up until it gets all the information for your camera....then just do what it tells you.

I hope this helps.

If not, contact the Kodak company either by email or phone. They will be able to help you. Unless someone else here can help. I know it's frustrating...just take it slow.

I deleted and reinstalled the program atleast 7 times now..:(
it says the program needs to be repaired so i clicked repair it does theis whole process...and when i try reopening the program i get the same error

is there a way to contact kodak for assistance perhaps? or you might have to seek professional help from a computer repair place. or do you have a friend that is a computer expert that can help you figure it out?

i'm going to call kodak. this is too frustrating to figure out

I'm no expert, but I don't think it's your computer...contact Kodak and request a new CD (new program disk).

Yeah..I should do that..but theyre not open till saturday i'll just have to wait. I lost my disk I think lillian used it as a chew toy.

I'm so sorry you have had to go through all this. It is very frustrating for sure!! I had a different program that I had to request a program CD for cause I knew it wasn't my computer. It cured the problem for me. Hope it does for you too!!

thanks..im going to order the cd..cause the one on the site isn't working
