For those of us who love makeup and love to try new things,
I thought this might be a fun way for us to reccomend our favorite products to others and maybe find some new products that will be our new favorite products!

Base: Mac Prep and Prime

Foundation - Diorskin foundation - I love how light weight this stuff is!
and Youngblood mineral powder foundation (www.youngblood.com, this stuff is way better than B.E or any other mineral makeup I've tried out there, love it!)

Concealer- Loreal True Match concelaer - love how well this stuff blends in with my skin and love how cheap it is!!

Powder- Christian Dior Pure Matte Rice Powder

Blush- Nars orgasm (such a pretty pink, gold color, I reccomend this blush to everyone I know as it really compliments each persons individual skin tone, it doesn't look the same on any two people) Youngblood coral reef (really pretty peach color) Bare Escentauls- True ( love the shimmer effect this has!)
Bare Escentuals Radiant Rebecca and Joyous Jennifer.

Bronzers- Chanel Bronzer in "Sunlit Fiasco"

Mascara- Diorshow mascara in the blackest black (the BEST mascara on the market, I literally stock up on this stuff when I go to the deparment store, I'll buy like 3 tubes at a time! It is amazing, everyone things I am wearing fake eyelashes when I wear it because it makes your eyelashes super long!)

Eyeliner- Revlon Wet/Dri eyeliner in ebony black. (this is the only eyeliner I've found that actually stays put for the entire day. I hate nothing more than eyeliner that's "messy" and this stuff does not get messy! :) )

Lipliner- Mac Spice, Nutmeg and Sand.

Lipstick- I don't wear any...

LipGloss- Nars Tripple X, Mac Tittle Tassle, Purr, Fine China, Oh Baby, Revealing and Clear. (Mac and Nar glosses are my favorite, they aren't sticky on and last for forever!)

Eyeshadow- *Mac* Trax, Sumptous Olive *Mac Pigments* Kitchmas, Reflects Red, Reflects Blue, Melon, Blue Brown, and Green Brown. Bare Essentuals Envy, Faux Fox, Opera, Seaside, Fair Lady and Glimmer 2000.

I hardly ever wear makeup so I can't post any favorites, but I have been on the lookout for makeup, since it seems I need some now! Ha - love aging! Plus, I do not tan anymore, so I think I need to cover my face, since it isn't tan!

Bare Escentuals Warmth...but I also tan a little bit so it's a bit dark.

How GREAT is Mac's Prep + Prime for the face? I swear by it and use it everyday...it makes your skin SO smooth! :D

You know, Neutrogena makes a product you might like. It's a tinted moisturizer. It has just enough coverage that you look like you have this "glow" about you but not that you are wearing makeup. I used to use it a lot. There are various shades and different formula's of it but it's really nice stuff and a great option if you don't have the time or like to wear a lot of makeup. I think you can get it at Walmart for like 10.00 or so and I only had to use like a dime sized amount each time so it lasted forever.

LOVE Mac's prep and prime, it has made my skin soooo incredibly smooth, it feels like baby's skin now. I literally have like four bottles of this stuff. One in my purse, one on my counter, one in my makeup bag and an extra one in case I loose all three of them and can't find it! LOL

Oooh, makeup is my weakness! Here's what I'm currently wearing:

Base: Lise Watier Base Miracle pore minimizing primer
Foundation: Maybelline Pure Makeup (even though it's cheap - this stuff rocks!)
Powder: Clinique perfectly real compact pressed powder
Cheeks: Pur Minerals pink marble powder
Eyeliner: Estee Lauder Eye Defining in SoftSmudge Brown
Mascara: Estee Lauder Magnascopic in Black
Eye base: MAC Beige-ing shadestick
Eyeshadow: MAC Trax (same as you BlondieGirl!), Pink Venus, Romp or Shroom
Eyebrow: Pur Minerals Brow Perfection (wax and powder)
Lipliner: Maybelline Moisture Extreme in Caramel
Lip Gloss: Cargo lipgloss duos in SanFran or SoHo

Can you tell that I LOVE MAKEUP! :rolleyes: After I put it all on, I just feel so much better about myself. It's my pick-me-up!

I also highly recommend the Cargo lipgloss - it's not sticky at all (the base is petroleum jelly) and they stay on really long for a gloss. I've tried all kinds (Estee Lauder, Lancome, Clinique, MAC, etc.) and Cargo is my favorite so far. BlondieGirl, I have the MAC Prrr shade too! I've never tried Nars products before though.

I will definitly give Cargo a try. Lipgloss is my weakness! I always have to have it with me no matter where I am!
I do love Nars products, the only thing I hate about them is their price :thumbdown They are a bit outrageous for some of their products but for some of their things I feel its worth the money, like their blush and glosses, their is nothing like them on the market and they last me a long time so I don't feel so bad about paying so much.

Its awesome, you should definitly try it! There are few products I am CRAZY about and that is absolutely one of them! :thumbup:

I love putting makeup on too. Its not like I feel like I have to wear it for other people, more myself. I think of it like wearing a nice piece of jewelry or a piece of clothing you really like, you wear it mainly because YOU like it and it makes YOU feel good :) If you want to feel REALLY good then don't wear makeup for like a week...(by then you'll start getting used to yourself without it) then put it on and you'll be like WOW, I look SOOOOOOOO good! LOL!
Mac Trax is one of my favorite eyeshadows. I like to use it on the lower part of my eyelid then use Sumptous Olive for the upper part and highlight the brow bone with kitchmas. It has a really neat affect. When I first saw Trax in the store I was like that is WAAAAAY to purple!! But, I finally convinced myself to get it and now I can't live without it. Something about those gold reflects in it really make the purple a gorgoues color and not too bright or bold.

I'm just going to list my new favorite:

Face Moisturizer - Absolue by Lancome

Made for very dry old elephant skin like mine;) First thing I used in ummm 25 plus years that I didn't have to reapply to stop flaking.:p

What does the MAC's Prep+Prime do?? I've heard of it but never really knew what it does for your skin. HEre is my list:

Foundation: I use Mac's Tint since it's not too cakey
Powder: Mac's sheer powder compact
Eyeliner: Clinique quickliner in really black, it doesn't smudge for me at all.
Eyeshadow: I have a ton of Mac eyeshadows since my mom got me one of those 15 colored palletes a while back but I mainly just use: shroom for under my brow, and I use cork for my lid it's a very light brown color and I put satin taupe over that.
Lips: I don't use lipstick except for some chapstick and gloss sometimes.
Mascara: I use Katie B's faux lash mascara. She is not too well known yet for her makeup line but is pretty well known for her make up artist skills. her website is katiebco.com
Eyebrows: I use MAC's eyebrow coloring thing...it comes w/ an eyebrow powder and a highlighter (under the brow). I also use a wax stick to keep my eyebrows from flopping.

Base: Laura Mercier Oil Free Foundation Primer

Foundation: Laura Mercier Oil Free Foundation

Under Eye Concealer: Laura Mercier Secret Concealer

Eye Lid Foundation : Laura Mercier Eye Basics

Coverup Concealer : Laura Mercier Secret Camoflauge

Powder: Laura Mercier Translucent Setting Powder AND I also use Laura Mercier Foundation Powder on those days that I don't use foundation.

Blush: Laura Mercier Cheek Colour. I use Rose Petal for a pinky color and Crushed Hazelnut for a more neutral/nude color.

Bronzers:Laura Mercier Bronzing Powder. I brush this on my forehead, cheek bones, nose, and chin before I put on my blush.

Mascara: Loreal Panoramic Curl Mascera

Eyeliner: Revlon Color Stay Eyeliner. I use Taupe for daytime and Vixen for evening.

Lipliner: Laura Mercier Lip Pencils

Lipstick: Laura Mercier Lip Kisses, Laura Mercier Riche Colour Lip Glace, Laura Mercier Lip Colour Cream, and Laura Mercier Lip Colour Shimmer

LipGloss: Laura Mercier Lip Glace. This lip gloss literally stays on all day.

Eyeshadow: Laura Mercier Eye Colour Matte and Laura Mercier Metallic Creme Eye Colour.

Mac's Prep and Prime is kind of like a base, it helps your makeup adhere to the skin better and stay looking smoother for a longer amount of time. It puts a barrier between your skin and the makeup so the makeup is going on this perfectly smooth silky base instead of your skins natural base which allows the makeup to seep into your pores and make your makeup look cakey.

Okay, apparently my Wal-Mart sucks because I had a hard time finding anything!! So, I went to Walgreens and found two Neutrogena tinted moisturizers, but that was it.......one was summer glow and the other was light tint...........I think. I bought both....the summer glow didn't look tinted but it said that over time, it will give your skin a soft natural looking summer glow. Who knows! I am going to try them. The summer glow smells wonderful! Are these what you were talking about?

Mac at 25% off..that is awesome..is it like a makeup counter or something else? I have never seen their makeup discounted...

I've not tried the summer glow one but the "light tint" sounds like the one I had. I think they had a medium and dark tint to. Is the bottle kind of flat looking and white with blue writting on it? If you can't find I can send you the rest of my bottle if you want it? Or I can pick you up some here from our Walmart. That summer glow one does sound neat though. I tried a product like that from Jergens it was their facial tanning stuff. You put it on everyday and it gives you this gradual glow.

Me neither! I am sooo jealous! The only way I can get a discount is if I know someone at the store :rolleyes:

Oh yes, I got a little tiny one from one of their free product deals and really liked it. I've been meaning to get back there to see what other colors they have.

It's an OUTLET that sells high end make-up:) I just bought some great Stila eye concealer there.

Oh, wow, I wish we had an outlet around here!! :rolleyes:

Where is the outlet..I would have no $$ if I went to a high end makeup outlet..I am a sucker for those 2 very things: make up and a sale!!!
