Boy battles hawk over pup!! Don't know if this has already been posted somewhere, here; but, we've just been talking about how careful we must be with our little ones outside! http://www.cnn.com/video/player/play...scues.dog.whdh Click the link to the story, and that will get rid of the info-mercial. Skeeeeeeery!!! |
Wow! Kudo's to that boy for saving the puppies life! |
wala...so scary!!!   |
Wow! I have a hawk that's been haunting me for a while now. I always go out with her but i never knew they would attack you. Thats crazy. I've actually been thinking about retraining Daisy to go in the house and use a wee wee pad. |
What brave kid! What a lucky doggie! Yikes:eek: |
Way to go 11 year old!!!   Like I asked on another post, is it hawk season? Its amazing what you will do when something threatens the life of you dog! Had it been me, hawk would be deer food when I got through. |

Well, you know, that's why I can't just let Abbie out in our backyard, and why she's trained to paper in the house. It's not unusual to hear hawks and owls about, and there is an eagle nest within a few miles. And we live in town! |
This was posted under off topic discussion titled: "OMG.. did yall see this". Thanks for sharing.....doesn't hurt to be posted twice!! |
OMG that's so scary! A few summers back a huge hawk/eagle (I don't know WHAT it was!) landed on the ledge of my balcony - I'm on the 10th floor of a high rise. I was just sitting at the table happily eating my cheerios when I looked up and saw it sitting there staring in at me. Freaked me out. It was at least 2 feet tall, and tawny and white with a big sharp hooked beak (it wasn't an owl). My bichon was at my feet but snoozing and didn't see the bird thankfully because he probably would have ran at it. It stayed for a few minutes while I just stared, then flew off. Never saw it again. |
That was so scary!! We have so many Red Tail Hawks here too. The little baby was even on a leash!! Wow!! I did see on another show a while back, this boy and his dad sitting at a picnic table with their pet hamster. They had the cage sitting on the table at one end, but had the hamster out at the other end. It was caught on film, this hawk swooped down and took the hamster. Now I'm almost afraid to take them out at all. When we put our fence up in the spring, it will have a topper of some kind on it. Knowing me, I'll try to walk them and be watching the sky and trip over something. Not safe either way....:) |
I dont know who shot that hawk occiffer (spelled incorrectly on purpose);) |
