Heaven's Grocery Store
 

I have had this for many a year,I don't know who wrote this but I wanted to share with those that I thought might like to read it.


"HEAVEN'S GROCERY STORE"

I was walking down life's highway a long time ago. One day I saw a sign that read "Heaven's Grocery Store" as I got a little closer, the door came open wide. When I came to myself I was standing inside.
I saw a host of angels, they were standing everywhere, one handed me a basket, and said, "My child, please shop with care."
Everything a Christian needed was in that Grocery Store, and all you couldn't carry, you could sure come back for more! First I got some PATIENCE, LOVE was in the very same row, further down was UNDERSTANDING, one needs it wherever one may go. I got a box or two of WISDOM, a bag or two of FAITH, I just couldn't miss the HOLY SPIRIT, for He was all over the place! I stopped to get some STRENGTH and COURAGE to help me run this race; by then my basket was getting full but I remembered I needed some GRACE! I didn't forget SALVATION that I really needed to set my soul free.
Then I started for the counter to pay my grocery bill; for I thought I had everything to do my Master's will, but as I went up the aisle, I saw PRAYER, and I just had to put that in! PEACE and JOY were plentiful, they were on the last shelf; SONG and PRAISE were hanging next, so I just helped myself.
Then I smiled unto the angel, "How much do I owe," I asked? He smiled and said "Just take your basket wherever you go!" Again I looked at him and asked, "How much do I really owe?" He smiled at me again and said, "MY CHILD, JESUS PAID YOUR BILL A LONG, LONG TIME AGO!"

I love that poem, it has been around for a while but it has special meaning to me as it was the last email my dad sent before he was killed in an accident 2 years ago.
