shower curtain question you know the plastic shower curtain you put under the pretty cloth curtain to keep eveything dry. why do they smell so bad. like strong toxic vinyl fumes. does anyone know where i can get one that does not smell??? please help. |
They only smell for a short while and then after they've hung for awhile and been through a few showers, I think it goes away. |
My daughter has asthma,so when i buy a new liner i hange it up in the garage or outside on the clothes line for a few days till that new vinal smell is gone. |

good idea. thanks. the smell gags me. |
I always buy fabric liners. They are usually called "hotel" liners. I got my last one at Bed Bath & Beyond. |
http://www.bedbathandbeyond.com/prod...12176244&RN=12 It comes in like 10 colors too. I thought I hated shower curtains until I got a shower with glass doors that are a pain to clean. It's nice to be able to just throw them away once in a while and buy a new one. |

thanks. this looks like a good one. i have a gift card for there too. there's no smell? |
No smell that I remember, except for like the starchy smell of new fabric. I am pretty sure they are machine washable too so you can just wash it. Also, I don't remember the packages being sealed - so you could open it first and check. |
I switch my liners every 6 months or so and I always wash them in the washing machne before putting them up to get rid of that smell!! |
