roomba? is this worth the money??? i hate to vacum. will it make romeo nuts??? http://www.sharperimage.com/us/en/ca...uct/sku__IR111 i like that i can turn it on when we go out. romeo does not like the vacum. |
Save your money. I got one when they first came out, did not pick up squat. Especially if you have pets, it can't handle pet hair. Mine kept getting caught in corners and under the furniture. The dirt holder is too small. All in all, I think it is a big waste of money. As a matter of fact, mine just went in the dumpster a couple of days ago. |

I have one too...it is a newer one, but I didn't care for it much. It was kind of a pain...you had to make sure it was charged (which seemed to take mine a long time and then, it didn't seem to stay charged long enough to do the entire house - we have all wood). Plus, then it just quit charging and had to buy another battery and it was a pain to find the parts we needed (battery, etc). I still have mine, but it hasn't been used in a don't know how long. I definitely wouldn't spend that much for it again! I would offer mine for sell.......at a very reasonable price (I'm talking below $100) if anyone is interested in trying it out. I have all wood floors and we just bought the swiffer floor vac... it has the dry swiffer pad behind the vacuum part....I LOVE IT! It is light weight, quick and easy to use! Just love it! It doesn't pick up big stuff, course, most vacuums don't or your not suppose to, but they have the swiffer "flick" - I think that is what it is called - and it is suppose to get the bigger stuff. |
Oops....wanted to add, but my time limit was up.... You also have to set up barriers to keep it from going down stairs or into rooms you don't want it to and nothing could be on the floor...like floor length curtains, etc. Easy stuff to do, but I felt that by the time I got the room ready to vacuum, I could have already vacuumed it w/ another one.
