Please! We need some of your prayers!! One of my very best friends got into an accident tonight. She was riding her dirtbike around the neighborhood and hit the curb and crashed. She wasnt wearing a helmet and fractured her skull at the back of her head when she went down. They found the bike and her laying about 100 feet away. She was conscious when they found her, but not moving. She was combative with the paramedics. She was yeling and swinging at them. They got her in and took a CAT scan which came out ok. She was still acting the same way at the hospital when we left. She didnt recognize her mom or dad and didnt know what was happening. Please add her to your prayers tonight! Thanks guys.. |

Keeping her in my prayers for a full recovery. Head injuries can look bad then greatly improve when swelling etc goes down. |

Oh gosh! That is terrible. I sure hope she is OK - the CAT scan results sound very good. Head injuries can cause all sorts of strange behavior, as the swelling decreases, the odd behaviors will decease. She may never remember the accident, but her general memory will probably be just fine. I'm so sorry - keep us posted. |

Update: Thanks you guys so much for your thoughts and prayers. I got to see her today, but she was sleeping. She has not one scratch or bruise on her body. The only thing is her head. Even though the CAT scan came out ok last night, they found a hemorage in her temporal lobe. Her swelling hasnt gone down any. But, it hasnt increased which is a good thing. She has started to remember some things. She knows her name and what month she was born in. She recognized her mom and dad..something which she didn't so yesterday. She is uncomrfortable and when the doctors try and touch her she kinda freaks out, so they still have her in restrains. They have her on the lowest amount of morphine possible so that she isnt completely asleep and they can wake her is they need to. Ill be back there tomorrow morning. Please continue your prayers, I know they are helping her tremendously. Thanks again.. |
