1 Attachment(s) HELP WERE FREEZING !!  |
where are all the pj makers !? |
Wait until joann's has a sale and their patterns are a buck.maybe someone will draw a pattern and post it. I think you could do it in one piece /cut two. |
1 Attachment(s) I love to sew and sew quite a bit but that's one thing I can't make without a pattern. One thing that I do that is SO easy is to buy infant clothes and adjust them to my yorkie. For example, the 6 month old infant size fits Topher perfectly...I buy little pants and cut out a hole for the tail and below the belly. For the shirts, for example when I buy a shirt with a logo on the front (which will be worn on the back of the yorkie), I make a slit all the way down the other side, take it in a few inches, then sew it back up. That way it makes up for the pup's legs being closer together than a human's. lol Did any of that make sense? I made quite a few pairs of comfy 'jammies' for Topher this way and I bought all of the items from the sale section for about a dollar a piece. he blew a sock in this picture! :) |
thats a great idea! Thanks for sharing. I love that picture too. |

Very cute! How big it Topher? Nancy |
How Cute I've actually been looking in the infant departments wondering whether that would work. I wasn't sure how small of an outfit/shirt I needed to get. How much does your dog weigh? Just so I can get an idea. I didn't think the stores would appreciate me trying clothes on my girl in the store. LOL Great Idea, Thanks! |
1 Attachment(s) Topher is around 10lbs give or take. I've found that some 6 month sizes fit him and some 9 month sizes fit....depends on the outfit. I bought THE cutest short set at Walmart for a dollar this summer. Here is a picture of the shirt. Now remember...this was in the BABY SECTION! It is SO appropriate for Topher don't you think? I cut a slit right down the back (don't know if you can see it in the picture), then pulled it in an inch or so, then sewed it up again. That way it totally fits him like it was made for him. |
I saw some PJ's at PetCo the other day. You could buy a pair, take them apart, then use the pieces for patterns for new. All you would need to do would be to add seam allowances if the original size was right. |
