i'm from northern ontario.. i know all about the cold! at night it is at 65... i wear a lot of clothes to bed! and during the day it is 72.. and right now it is quite comfortable! |
my house is like antartica... so my b/f says.. i keep it at 65 at night time. i love sleeping with loads of blankets..... during the day at 68 degrees. it gets quite expensive for me considering i have to pay a mortgage...and all the other bills by myself....... id rather go shopping than pay keyspan i like it that way.... |
I keep mine at 68-70 but after the summer bills of over 300 for the air conditioner nothing compares to that - and while my husband must have the air on or he'll pass out - - it drives me nuts running the air or heat that much so right now at night it's pretty cold in my house but - thanks to the girls new Nighties -we're ALL set ...I don't worry about them like I did last year always covering them up with blankets - the nighties keep them nice and toasty - I know cause I'm always doing nose checks lol |

I keep mine on 55 when I leave during the day so Buddy is ok and when I return up to 70. I can't stand to be cold however in the bedroom I put it on 55 and open the window a couple of inches. I like the bedroom cool and bury under the covers. Buddy does not like covers:eek: I try covering him and he gets up and moves so I guess he will have a cold butt this winter.:D Carol & Buddy |
We have a pellet stove, and last year I only turned our heat on once. I love our pellet stove, keeps the downstairs toasty, but the bedrooms stay cooler, which is how I like to sleep. |

oooh i wish i had a pellet stove or a fireplace... i just wish oh wish oh wish |
my hubby is in the process of doing that radiant heat in our shop and house.....luckily hes a certified welder and can build it all him self and knows how to do the other so instead of 5000.00 ir cost us about 500.00 and it will knock our utilites down to around 100.00 a month...YIPPEEEEE so no more 300-400 a month bills for mee....YIPPEEEE |
70 most of the time for us. I hit it up to 72- 73 in the mornings to get the chill out. I HATE the cold- I freeze (and bitch) all winter. |
