Help w/ Computer
My cat laid on my keyboard and now my entire screen is sideways. I am looking at it sideways. I have no idea how to fix it back to normal. It sounds funny, but it really isn’t.

kidding - that's interesting - have you gone to your DISPLAY settings in your control panel ???

Yes to both questions, display and reboot. For the life of me I can't figure this out. I am getting a stick neck!!!!!

ewwwwww- I'm not good at this BUT if it were me - I think I'd have to go into my driver settings.....remove the monitor driver - unplug the monoitor - reboot the computer - then plug it back in and let windows find the driver again -

if you're on windows xp you can do a recover to the day before or wherever you have a date set up - mine doesn't work now but that would be what I'd try too -

That's a new one to me - very interesting but I bet VERY annoying

Good idea! Go to start, Control Panel, Performance & Maintenance, then click on System Restore. It will walk you through the process. It is completely reversible if you do it and decide you don't like it.

Thanks so much ladies, I actually called my sister in London to find out how to do a system restore before I read your replies. Worked perfect!!!!!!!!!!! How weird was that? No clue what keys she laid on to make that happen.........

I have to reformat my whole computer one of these days cause mine is running so slow and my system restore pooped out ...I used it quite often - it sure saves hours of fooling around especially when we aren't sure of what happened -

Man, talk about a freakout, and of course all the wording was distorted. Now that I know about system restore I feel a bit more secure knowing if I screw something up it can be easily remedied.....

If it happens again you just grab the corner with you cursor and drag it back.I remember that happening to me on my Daughters computer and I freaked. I couldn't get it fiixed and thought for sure I broke it.I went and got a neighbor and he showed me how to fix it.

Really? It's that easy? Wow I didn't know that but then I didn't know it could get turned sideways either.

Oh, this happened to me at work. YOu can also go to display settings and change the ratio of your screen. It will get back to normal that way as well.:D
