But as far as nutrients go, you will be getting EVERYTHING in the healthy, purified raw food you will be eating. You don't technically NEED to take any vitamins because your body will no longer be deficient. But hey, the more nutrients and vitamins the better. There's no harm in taking additional vitamins -- they can't hurt you. |
I'm making the raw tacos tonight!! I also made the salsa to go with it and I think I'm going to make the guacamole too! Tomorrow for lunch I'm going to have the mock tuna salad! I can't wait for dinner tonight. :) Thanks for the RAVE reviews! |

What is the name of the book? the author's name? Thanks. We aren't needing to loose weight but like to eat different healthy foods. These sound really delicious. Patti and Jack |
Its Rawvolution You can find it at www.rawvolution.com The Raw Chef and Author is Matt Amsden. I drove to Santa Monica and took his Class, he is an amazing guy!!! I learned so much from him!!! My husband and I spent the day with him and prepared so many of his dishes and learned so many of his prep methods, he really taught me how to use my tools! He made me the Raw Foodist that I am.. I don't think I would be as well versed as I am had I not spent the time with him that I did. He is so humble too! Just as sweet as Agave nectar! I loved him! And I love his book... his foods are simple to make and sooooo good to eat! |

The Mock Tuna is about the best story ever!!!! lol My dad thinking he was actually eating RAW CHICKEN!!! Your going to LOVE LOVE LOVE it!!!! Be sure to Soak your seeds! It makes all the difference Dry seeds are dormant, so you must wake them up! You can never use too much water when soaking seeds. But different seed will soak up different anounts of water... so as a good rule of thumb use 3 parts water to 1 part seed. And if your really raw... lol you would use spring water... thats only if your hard core!;) If you are soaking a large batch you will want to mix them up once or twice while they are soaking just to make sure they are not sitting in one heavy clump. While you can never use too much water, you can soak them for too long! so follow the reccomended times for each seed, each supplier will have a soaking time. Soaking neutralizes enzyme inhibitors present in all seeds. These inhibitors can neutralize our own precious enzymes in the digestive tract. Raw is all about the art of preping your foods! And soaking is a breeze! Just throw it in your water and forget about it! Any seeds floating in the end.... just run your fingers over them... if they dont sink... skim them off and toss them... stir them up and skim off all the casings and then drain and dry them DONT FORGET TO GIVE YOUR SELF TIME TO DRY THEM! Not bone dry... just not soaking wet... I like it in between... like chicken! lol Ohhhh your going to FLIP OUT! PLEASE!!!! Make someone who does not know try it!!!! Wrap it in lettuce and have them try it!!:D |
