Here is the thread where the raw tacos were first mentioned. When Jenn went to pick up Cali, she raved about Kathryn's raw tacos and everyone was asking Kathryn for the recipe. http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/showthread.php?t=58430 |

The RAW taco meat was basically WALNUTS!!! It had some seasonings mixed in it (I can't remember all the ingredients but I'll let you know after I get the book tonight -- I'm going to Barnes & Noble after work) but some were coriander, lemon juice, cumin and a few other things. The taco shell was a COLLARD GREEN. This may sound yucky but it was so freakin awesome!! Kat also made fresh guacamole (yummy) and FRESH SALSA!! The salsa was the best I ever had in my life!!!!! |
Oh I thought it was raw meat..lol...I was gonna say... ummm salmonella..lol..oh ok so no meat. Sounds like you gals enjoyed. I cannot stay away from meat, I'm a meat girl :D so I'm gonna have myself a Nobella Taco :p but Jen will have to make me that taco when she comes to visit so I can try it ;) |
Oooops I almost forgot, there's NO BREAD either!!! :D |

PS - I bet you're all wondering how you make alfredo sauce without any CHEESE or dairy hehehehe :D |
If I were alone I could do this diet so easily...unfortunately...I have a husband who loves to snack. There's a huge candy jar on the kitchen counter and the pantry is filled with chips, cookies, donuts etc... He's so frustrating when I try to diet...he's the kind that will get something good and say 'you want some?' but when I say no he'll say 'are you sure, it's really good'...it gets to the point where I just have to say 'what part of no didn't you get?'. I just get so frustrated with him. The only diet I've been able to do is lo-carb because I can fix basically the same thing for me but modify it for him with little or no trouble. Men... |
I just looked up the book and I have added it to my Christmas Wish List!!! I have a hard time dieting in my house because I have a daughter who does like to eat healthy, but likes other things too AND then there is the husband...who is strictly meat and potatoes!! I won't even tell you want I had to do to get him to eat some brocoli and cauliflower the other day! HA! I have cooked seperate meals before, so I think I am going to try this after the holidays (hey, that's only fair for me)!!! Okay, so I had a question...............what supplements do you take while you are on this? There as to be something else to supplement the other nutrients you are missing. How is your energy level? You know, alittle carbs give you the energy. What about drinks.....what do you drink?? One last thing.....do you sometimes let yourself have something that is not RAW...like if you are at a dinner party, etc? Sorry for all the questions.....I'm just alittle pumped about this and can't wait to get started......and want to fine tune all the little details before I start! |
Just PMd you!!! Can't wait!!! Thankyou!! |
