Help Me Surprise My Hubby With A GPS, PLEASE
 
Ok I need a little help..

I am getting my husband a GPS for are anniversary (dec 18th, we will be married two yrs YAAY lol) and I need an idea oh how I can give it to him.. I dont want to be like, here is your gift, open it up... Thats been way over done...SO..If you where getting something you have been wanting FOREVER and you FINAL get it.. how would you like to be surprised with it?

I would "break into" his car right before you two exchange gifts and set it up in their with a huge red bow on it, with a card beside it. The way you can get him into the car in the first place, is to ask him to run out and get something, or tell him you lost a piece of jewelry in the car and you need his help looking for it. Hope this helps!

I would say you had special ordered a gift and they CALLED to say there was a mix up and you guys had to go pick it up. THEN... I would be making him drive all these crazy directions by reading them from a phony direction paper. Now afer about 15 minutes you will be all LOST and he will be mad by then(which makes it all the better). You just keep saying "THESE are the directions they gave me". Then after one more try and not finding the place.... you whip out the gift and tell him maybe THIS will help you find it:eek:

lol I wish he would fall for that!! THat would be soo fun to do that to him!! but he is the ONLY guy in the world that will pull over to ask where what ever it is, is at:rolleyes:

see if you can set up the GPS to somewhere you can get him to go and when he gets in the car and starts driving the voice in the GPS will start talking to him

I like ehunney idea, of setting it up in the car.. but I dont know if I can "make it talk" lol.. I am not good with electronical things, like this.. + I dont want to "mess it up" by hitting a wrong button... my luck I would delete all the stuff in there lol

So I am going to set it up in his car, the night before he has to go to work..so when he gets in his car in the morning, he will see it!!

Now I just need to find a bow with are wedding colors!

Awwwwwwwwwww, this is so sweet that your doing this for your hubby:thumbup: And I love the idea of the bow having your wedding colors:thumbup:

What about a mini scavenger hunt? You could give him a clue to a place, where you'd already have put the next clue. These could even be small little gifts for him. The final clue could lead him to the GPS!

Whoops.. I just saw you were doing the put it in the car thing:)

I guess i just like the thought of torturing him first.....HAHAHAHAHAHA:p

I just think the contrast of him going crazy trying to find a made up place would make the SURPRISE all that much more of an funny, happy thing.
Not to mention what a GREAT story to tell;)

that's the thing that goes in the car right? well put it in the car on christmas eve and stick o bow on top of it maybe a little tag saying merry christmas on it don't tell him anything let him find it himself!

Itz ez to get it to "talk" there is a touch screen and one item there is SPEAK hit that ... plug the auto adaptor in the "cigarette" lighter and when he turns the key on, it will say something (itz better if you program a different address in it first) .... Are you getting a Garmin? I have the Garmin 2720 ... and itz great!

My daughter takes it from me all the time ... Since you are in Germany, make sure you get the European street map version. (it should come equipped already especially if you buy in over there) ...
ask the salesman to show you the features .... it may be difficult to "hide" it since it has to sit on the dashboard ... Good Luck!

I've done this in the past and my boyfriend loved it. The first clue I wrapped in a big box with a blanket in it (for weight).

Im getting him a TOMTOM 910. It has the maps here and the ones back home.. + thats the one he SAID he wanted, so... Thats what he is getting.

I wanted to get him a diffrent one that was more $....but he didnt like it :rolleyes: He wants a TOM TOM lol so he is getting that AND it way cheaper then the one I wanted to get him, so with the extra $ I might get something for my self lol :p
