My husband gets up at the BUT crack of dawn and I have been getting up making his breakfast, but for about a month now... He tells me dont worry about it and to go back to bed. Which I think is REALLY sweet!! but I feel bad bc he is going to work with out eating breakfast.. which I am sure he dose go gets something, but nothing opens till like 0700 and he is up at 0330. and that a long time when you are hungry.. I really think he is Sucking up so I will get him his GPS he wants lol Scent he has been dropping hints :p but still I feel bad about it.. |
That is so sweet of you! If I were a stay at home mom/wife I would have no problem making hubby breakfast. I work therefore I am not getting up to do nothing:D |

Hubby isn't much of a breakfast eater but, I would get up and make his lunch for the day...then I smartened up and made it the night before! |
I did that for all of one week once....but I work too so it was very annoying to get up at 5 then make him breakfast then go back to bed for an hour....hey at least I tried....lol |
Nope! I'll never! I work a full time job , gone 10 hours a day too. We are equal. I don't beleive in catering to a "man". He's no better than I am. He has two hands, just as I do. Even if I didn't work, which I don't see happening because I like to SHOP! , I still wouldn't. He's a big boy. |
I don't make my bf breakfast during the week because I leave for work before he gets up. But most weekend mornings I'm in the kitchen cooking. |
No way. LOL |
I did when we were first together but that stopped when the kids came. :) Then I was getting up to still make his coffee but half the time he forgot it :( Now that I work half the night, I SOMETIMES set the coffee for him in the am but not always. Don't feel guilty. My hubby was always stopping at at the local convience store and getting a snack and coffee :) |
reverse My husband gets up, makes my breakfast, tea and toast, and takes care of the furkids, feeds and lets them out. HE'S RETIRED and I'm not.:aimeeyork :coffee_n_ |
Not me...daughter still in bed when I leave for work and we are not big breakfast eaters. On the weekends I cook usually one big breakfast for everyone. |
Hubby has to be at work for 8am so he gets up at 7, makes his breakfast and he and Topher sit and eat Cheerios together...it's so cute. Anyway, hubby brings me my coffee in bed every morning, then calls when he gets to work to tell me he loves me and to have a good day :) On the weekends he makes me breakfast in bed cause he doesn't have to work. (Topher has brekkies in bed with me on the weekends). |
Hubby and I aren't big breakfast people. Plus, he starts work at 6 a.m. and that's just way too early to eat. We both usually skip breakfast. But once in a while on a Sunday, we'll make breakfast together. |
When Patrick & I married I was a "dry toast [maybe] & coffee person" and he thinks that breakfast is the most important meal of the day! I just don't "do" breakfast but there are many restaurants that do! :p Besides, I can't bear the smell of cooking breakfast meat. He occasionally cooks it for himself on the weekend, outside on the grill, otherwise he goes to a restaurant ... while I'm at home thanking God for such a wonderful, considerate, caring husband! ;) |
Nop, hubby gets up at 5:30, that's way too early! |
Aw that's real sweet of you! My bf doesn't eat breakfast, so theres no need for me to wake up early. He also usually insists on doing the cleaning and everythign too, so right now I'm working on convincing him that I can do it because I'm home doing nothing but watching Rocky and HW, and YT lol. About 30mins before he gets off though I usually call him and see what he wants for dinner. |
Hubby and I both get up at the same time. Whoever gets to the kitchen first makes us coffee, but we are not breakfast people. Sometimes on the weekends i fix a nice big breakfast and we all eat then, but i do have to wonder if he is up to something or wanting something because I have got homemade belgin waffles 2x this week, now who would pass up breakfast when your offered that?:) |
not many of you make breakfast.. hmm.. For some reason I thought mostly EVERYONE got up to make or went some where for breakfast. When I was little, I stayed with my grate grandma while my parents where at work and EVERY morning she made breakfast for us. THen when we got school age my mom bought or made me and my brother breakfast every day before she drooped us off at school on her way to work. |
Yep, my mom always made me eat breakfast before school...It's so important to eat breakfast so you can have energy through the morning to get you through to lunch. I used to make my husband breakfast all the time when I didn't work. Now we work together, so we take turns making breakfast for each other in the mornings. |
When my kids were little I always made breakfast for them in the morning...now that they're teenagers, they most times don't eat breakfast, though I try to get them to eat something every morning before school. |
not me, my hubby gets up between 2-3 am! he leaves for work 4-5 depending what time he starts that day.....I am fast asleep at that time, He doesn't eat breakfast, just his coffee which he sets before he goes to bed. weekends is different..i usually make breakfast or we do it together. |
I prepare a fruit bowl the night before, usually sliced apple, grapes, blueberries or whatever else is in season. He eats it on his way to work, he loves it and it only takes minutes to put together. Easy to please, just the way I like it........ |
What's a "Breakfast"? is that the same as Coffee? and 3:30 am???? What's "Cook"??? Is that a new take-out restaurant? I don't get your question... :D :D :D |
Breakfast is frozen waffles and peanut butter for my husband that he makes himself. However; I do make his lunch. |

Got it! Why didn't you guys just say that? Breakfast.... sheesh! Thanks for giving me the everyday definition! |
Hubby likes light brreakfast and that means cereal every morning, so I always make sure there is milk available and assorted cereal. Then he stops by starbucks and gets his coffee and scone. So, no, I don't cook breakfast.:D :D |
This is the best!!! Quote:
My first husband (may he rest in peace) left for work 2 hours after I left to drive an hour to teach 32 10 year olds for 6.5 hours. When he told me his first wife made breakfast for him daily and she was a teacher also... I told him he never should have divorced her. Sorry to say, he passed away 2 years later (car accident NOT my cooking) .... my second husband was the BEST and he either made his own breakfast after I left or he got up and made something for me to grab and eat! Unfortunately he passed away 4 years ago ... and I sleep thru breakfast now. Debbie |
