Also when Lauryn was that age I bought her a camera, film and a scrapbook set and she LOVED it. Target has some really cute 35 mm camera that are really girly, and not expensive. Walmart has some cute scrapbooking sets that aren't real expensive but good ones. My daughter loves art stuff so this was just perfect. Plus I had her sometimes spend her allowance to get the film processed so that she realized the value of a dollar - lol
Or the have so much cool stuff out for a girls room. Not sure how her room is but one of those round fuzzy chairs (Target) or a Caboodle filled with nail polish, stickers for your nails, lotion, lip gloss, jewelry, etc.
If she likes to read.. Chicken Soup for a Pre-Teen book is really good. It has stories of how to deal with your friends, parents, boys, etc. (my daugher has it and read it in two days)
Just a couple of ideas... have fun! | These were some of the thoughts I had too.....my daughter is 12 1/2.
Claire's is a good store to shop for the girls and so is Bath and Body Works.
The camera and scrapbook, stickers, note pads, personalized stationary all together in one basket is a good plan too.
Anything girly and for the bathroom (like perfume, fancy shampoo's, beauty kits (not neccessarily makeup, but the like) would be good too. Target as the Dottie Loves stuff that most "tween" girls like. - that includes everything from stickers, to clothes, to jewelry, etc.
I know that last time we were at Claire's they had almost everything buy 1 get 1 half prize and some was buy 1 get 1 free.
Good luck and have fun shopping!!!! |
