Anyone use the new Cingular Go Phone? I am looking at getting my daughter the new Cingular Go phone - the really small Pantech C300 - "worlds smallest camera phone". One commercial is the mother and daughter yelling at each other, but not being mean (if that makes sense). Anyway, Cingular is the only phone that really picks up where we live (way outside of town). I was wondering if anyone has one and how good they are....since they are Pay-as-you-go, how much per minute, text msg. etc. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks! |
picture 1 Attachment(s) Here is the picture of the phone we are thinking about.......it was an ad in her Limited Too catalog. I guess you can buy the phone there, but we looked at it at Wal-Mart. I need to compare it to other pay as you go phones. We just liked this one because it is stylish and is the carrier that picks up out here. Please, the size and camera help too! Attachment 76285 |
I have that phone and I love it! I love the size of it anyways! :smhuge2: I can hear good on it but the camera isn't that great! It is good enough for a phone though! And the only thing I really hate is that it doesn't have bluetooth! But I really love it! :cheer: |
Thanks! Most camera phones I have seen, really don't take a good quality picture (well, in my opinion, but then again, I am the person who has 3 awesome cameras and I carry the small one w/ me all the time). Anyway, I am sure it will be enough for my 12 yr. old. And we aren't worried w/ the blue tooth....this phone will be good enough until she is older. How about the minutes? I heard there were different plans (didn't know pay as you go had plans)? Is this right? If so, what is the difference and how much are the minute cards? Thanks! |
I am not really sure about how the minutes sell! My phone isn't prepaid. If you are getting Cingular service, can you go to their website to check it out? I am not sure if they have that on their website or not! |
Thanks! I think we will do the pay as you go...just because for 1, I HATE having a cell phone bill and 2, for her first phone and her not using it much (we homeschool, etc)...I think it would just work out better. I didn't think to check the website....since it is pay as you go...I will check and see. I am going to look at Target & Wal-Mart online to see and compare it to the other pay as you go phones out there. |

You can get the pay as you go on their website. My cousin who lives in the mountains of VA got a trac phone for her and one for her parents and she says they pick up really good up there. You can get them at wal-mart. I don't know much about them. It might be worth looking into. You could probably go to their website and see if they have service in your area. |

I think it would work great though if you use the minutes you buy and pay as you go also prevents the bill from get expensive with a teenage girl. Many people think you just buy minutes and they last until you use them but they expire and you need to buy more minutes to keep being signed up. So it can add up if you never really use the phone. |
