Paypal question I sold something on ebay under my husbands ebay account and sent the buyer a invoice. The paypal invoice was under my husbands paypal account. Well the money went through but we can't get into the account because if has been inactive for sooo long. We called paypal numerous times and they saY HE ISN'T ANSWERING THE SECRET QUESTIONS RIGHT. How could that be, the questions are the last 4 digits of your DNL and your mothers maiden name. Do then they ask us to fax recent document and the address must match the address on the account. well we moved from there over a year ago. Has anyone had this problem? They told me basically tough Sh** The money will just sit there. |

maybe you can contact the person that sent you the money and ask them to dispute it or ask for it back then when they get it back they can resend it back to the right paypal addy? can you send a reminder to your email about that account and get in and reactivate it? can you just close that account out? i don't know what else to do? good luck though |

I don't believe that the sender can ask for it back. The receiver has to reject it. I'd keep contacting Paypal til I got some satisfaction. If you forget your info they should be able to email it to you. |
I can't get into it. The seller called paypal they said only I could send her the payment back form the account. Well, If I could get into the account, I wouldn't need to send it back. I'm so furstrated !!!! That is 80 bucks I sure could use right now. I ask a woman yesterday to let me speak to her supervisor, she responded saying I can''t do that! As far as the DMV we just moved again this last Sunday. |
I personally had this Problem about 8 months ago.... I had an inactive paypal account attached to my ebay account and it populated into my auction... it was a 300.00 auction too... I was pissed... But I was able to get into my account... he really can't remember his information??? Its possible when the information was entered there was a typo, and the information is not matching up due to a clerical error on their end:confused: Do you have any documents showing the old address??? Or can your buyer file a claim that they never received the item and be refunded?? You don't have to send it cause you were never paid... ??? And paypal protects the buyer and would refund him or her... Or in Most cases will... Is it a large amount?? |
i have gotten money back before through paypal ask them to log into their acocunt go to resolution center open dispute then item dispute and file it or ask them to call and get their money back then resend it to the right place |
The girl did call and they said I had to send her a refund. IDK. Like I siad it must be a typo , there is only one correct answer to the secret questions. I thought about asking her to file a dispute. I mailed her the item anyways , my mistake , not hers. They are also telling me the phone numbers don't match. Wierd.I pulled it up yesterday when I hit forgot my SN. |
Have you possibly had a credit check done lately? If you have, all of your past addresses should be listed on it. Go to any one of the places that you've had a credit check done and ask for a copy of it, or if you haven't asked for one in the past year, you can go to www.annualcreditreport.com and retrieve your credit report online for free. That should be all you need for the paypal nazis. :) |
I hope this gets resolved for you, but I understand the frustration! On an semi-unrelated side note- My PayPal account(s) (the first one, closed and then the second one, now closed also) were broken into on more than three occassions each. I don't like their security features, and yes it was on their end, not mine. The likelyhood of anyone breaking onto my computer is highly unlikely. So, I don't recommend PayPal to anyone, but my mom has an account and no issues so far and so when she/I needs to purchase something on-line that only accepts PayPal, I just use hers as needed. PayPal = :thumbdown |

That's why my hubby will not let me sign up for Pay Pal. |
