I miss him My last baby boy left yesterday to go to his new forever home. I had a litter of Chi's. He was 14 weeks old yesterday. The lady who bought him lived 5 hours away, they spent an hour and a half at my house, playing with my other dogs, and taking pictures. She even brought her other Chi , who will be his new brother. I got a good feeling and know he's going to have a good new mom. She even called me last night when she got home to let me know they were home and he was playing and doing good. :) I did real well thru it all until a couple hours later. Then I cried :( Yup I did it. Told myself I wouldn't. (dang it! I'm doing it again!!! just writing this!!!) I keep thinking about him. I miss him. |

Awww you poor thing! :( I can only imagine how you must be feeling :( This is the whole reason why I know I could never be a breeder...I'm just too much of a darn softie, I'd want to keep them ALL!! :( :( |
It is hard!!!! Especially when the little guy decided to become such a little lover the last few days! I really thought I'd be ok! And I was, the whole time they were there, even when she held him through the window for us to say goodbye to him. (oh and get this - hubby, who doesn't want anything to do with it all, kissed him through the window and the whole nine yards ;) ) I think it was after it all was over with, and I had taken down his play pen and cleaned the puppy room all up. We were driving to the store, and bam...I started to cry. Hubby reminded me of how happy I made his new mom and that it was my goal in the first place. Its funny....when she was taking him, I still thought of him as mine and everytime I've bought a new pup as soon as I hold him , I feel he is mine. So while she was holding him she was probably feeling he was hers and her I am still feeling he's mine! (if that makes sense? I know what I'm feeling - just hard to write it) Anyways - the good thing is, I think he's going to have a good home. |
Awwwwwwww......And yes - she's feeling he is hers. WHICH YOU WANT HER TO FEEL !! :p :p :p I know you had a hard time with this but he will have a fun brother to play with and they came a long way just for YOUR puppy - how special is that ??? I bet he has a wonderful life - and she already has a Chi so you know she's experienced. HUGS TO YOU MOM......I know I'd be crying too which is why I could NEVER breed. |
It must be so hard, but you know he will have a good home. |
Breny I know you would be extra fussy who got your little ones!!! It must be hard for you to let him go...just look at the babies we all have I know the breeder I got mine from was really happy that Lottie was going to a good home! I send her a little photo every now and then and give her a call to let her know how she is doing and she is so pleased!!!You will miss him but his new mum will love hiim so much!! At least you are keeping Tia!! She will be there for you!! Take care I will be thinking of you missing your little one tonight!! Julie |
