It's cold here so our first thick out soup of the season.

It's an old family recipe.

It has browned bacon, cut up potatoes and cut green beans and a chopped onion.. A little flour mixed into the bacon grease and stirred into the boiling stew to slightly ticken it. I also add a little ham base for extra flavor

I'm cooking homemade ham and navy bean soup with corn bread. Its cold here too, I had to turn on the furnace today....they are saying snow showers tomorrow.....

Yup same forecast we got on this side of the state. Low of 25 tonight.

We’re taking the pups to Rudy’s Mexican Food tonight. They have an outdoor area and the dogs love to people watch. They will be having a hamburger patty; we will be having Margs and whatever.

Ok, this has nothing to do with Mexican food. THAT is the CUTEST dog house (in the avatar) ever! I love it! Did you buy it or make it?

I am making steak and breaded shrimp w/ baked potatoes and dinner rolls and salad for dinner tonight. YUMMY!

I was reading all the posts from yesterday and it made me hungry!!!!

With the cooler weather, I'm making soup in the crockpot! I had a bunch of leftover turkey from our Canadian Thanksgiving dinner so figured I could use that up.

I actually got the recipe from Racheal Ray's show. It wasn't as good as I expected, but I would still recommend it at least once! What I did though, was add a can of red pinto beans because it seemed kinda plan without it. :)

Nothing too exciting here...chicken fried steak and fries but after that we took our neighbor and her son to Dairy Queen. Yes, it's only in the 40's here but it's never too cold for a DQ! :)

This is one of my most favorite meals!!! I can't make it, but my mom sure does a good job. Perfect timing for this soup since the temperature is going to drop tomorrow.

Tonight was the kind of night where I took whatever was in the cabinet, mixed it together and hoped for the best! Hot italian sausage, fresh garlic, spinach, olive oli and madeira wine all sauted and mixed with penne.
