Mia, I will be praying for you and your daughter. My mom had a burn accident almost 12 years ago and she used the plant Aloe Vera for the scars. You can barely tell it even happened. Praying for a speedy recovery! :hands: :hands: :hands: |
I heard from April and her daughter is home! I can't believe they would send her home so soon! Here is what April said: She is home now. She has to go to the burn center eveyday to have her burns cleaned and checked. Her arm has 2nd and 3rd degree burns, and her face and neck and chest is 2nd degree burns. Another problem is she has no feeling in her arm or her lips, so they are afraid she might have nerve damage. They said she should also feel some pain and shes not. I guess we have to wait and see. I am so glad to hear Kaitlin is home and I pray that there is no nerve damage. I am a redhead and have spent my life in the burn-blister-peel cycle every summer. It only takes 10 minutes for me to start burning. I even burn if the sun is shining on the snow. One year I spent 7 hours swimming and got a burn I will never forget. I couldn't wear clothes so I spent a couple weeks in my parents bedroom with an air conditioner and only my dad's pj top to wear. I was one giant painful blister. My skin oozed for weeks and peeled layer after layer of skin. It was unbearable. I know that is nothing compared to what Kaitlin is going thru and my heart goes out to her for having to deal with a pain I can't even begin to imagine. I am praying for the healing to start quickly and continue with as little pain and scarring as possible. Hugs and prayers for her entire family - they must be hurting so much for her.
