I was wondering if anyone has ever heard of Waverly Hills Sanatorium? It is located in Louisville, KY and in the 1920's was the top Tuberculosis hospital and it is estimated that 63,000+ people died there. Anyway, now it is abandoned and Haunted. It is supposed to be in the Top 10 of Scariest Places on Earth according to Ghost Hunters.

So now you can pay $100 to stay the night there and 2 of my friends and I are going to go soon!! I'm so excited but scared at the same time.

Has anyone heard of this place or been there??

Never heard of it! You got guts to stay there though - and by CHOICE! I'm a scaredy cat...

You should read Sylvia Brown's "Visits form the Afterlife" - it's a really good read (I read it in one day) In it she talks about hauntings and spirts etc. AND, she tells about famous haunted locations she has visited - sooo creepy, but soooo interesting!

I soo can't wait! This is going to better than any fake haunted house! It's just going to be us 3 girls! My dad is a Sylvia Brown fan.. he is reading her Son's book right now. It's just going to be fun because I've read all of these Stories about people who have been and their are a lot of "shadow people" that follow people around... and It just sounds soo much fun. Worst part of all is I'm the one that will be able to handle it the most between us 3. So if I lose my mind then we are all 3 screwed!

wow!! that sounds like fun!!!! i love haunted stuff!! i always get freaked out!! but oh well!! Be sure to tell us how it is!

I will! We are calling today to see exactly what all you get to do, I think if you do the full night they just like you go by yourself!!!! Spooky! But I saw something about them having a Haunted house in it during Halloween and that won't be fun! I want REAL ghosts popping out, not a person dressed up.

:eek: I've heard of it!:eek: I love that show - Ghost Hunters- !!! You are much braver than I though!!! I loved the one they did on the Shining hotel and my husband wants to go and stay there!!:eek: I'll visit during the DAY but you can bet you bottom that I'll be sleeping somewhere else!! I can't wait to hear how it goes! Good luck with the ghost hunting:eek:

Well we called first thing this morning, and the lady said that they are booked for their over night stays until The first of the YEAR!!!!!!!! And if you do the 2 hour tour (you go with a tour guide on this one, not alone) then they are booked up until the weekend of Thanksgiving.

But we can't go Thanksgiving because the other 2 girls going are people I work with, one is my manager and the other is just another associate like me. We work at Limited Too (little girl store) and that weekend is Black Friday (day after Thanksgiving) PLUS we have these coupon things that we give out and it's the first weekend you can redeem your coupons so we are going to be swamped!

We are thinking about going in January lol.
