Help...I need a psychic! Somehow in all of our remodeling I've missplaced my diamond earrings :cry: ...can someone please tell me where I put them?? They're princess cut, 3/4 ct. each and set in white gold. They were part of my birthday present from my husband this year...I'm just sick! |

I hate when I lose something like that. I lost a diamond and opal necklace one time and found it about 1 1/2 yrs. later.:confused: My dtr has lost irreplaceable jewelry, but we manage to find them. I tell her to close her eyes and think about the last time she saw them. Then we do a little back tracking and voila! There they are. So, don't give up hope. I'll bet they will turn up where you least expect them. Good luck and I'll say a prayer to help you along. |
Thanks...I've been going over everything in my head all afternoon but can't come up with anything different than what I remember. I got so tired I just took a nap! I've even called the contractor to see if he can check the old cabinet and his truck just to be sure. I'm sure I took them out with all my other jewelry but I figured it was worth a shot to ask. |
Oh no !! I did that once and found mine in my wallet of all places - did you look in your purse ? GOOD LUCK and I hope they turn up - at least they are in the house somewhere right ? |
Don't give up, yet. When I lost my necklace, we were putting a ketchen addition on our house. I remembered laying the necklace on a countertop, so I pulled all the cabinets out away from the wall (they weren't attached yet), took out drawers, literally tore the kitchen apart. Sold the house, moved to another still thinking my favorite necklace was long gone. We were packing to go somewhere and I was putting my jewelry into a travel jewelry case, and there was my missing necklace tucked down in one of the pockets. To this day, I don't remember ever packing that necklace in my bag. So keep looking - you may have just tucked them someplace temporarily at the time. I'll keep praying that you find them soon. Maybe a friend can help - fresh eyes won't look in the same places. |

It took me about a year to find it - I looked and looked and looked for the items (shows you how often I clean my underwear drawer) :D |
Oh no, i hate losing things, i lost a eternity ring one time after laying some carpet! 3 years later when i was ripping up that carpet, guess what i found!........ MY RING! :) I hope you find the earrings, i will keep my fingers crossed :thumbup: I have a feeling your earrings are in a little box/bag, something like a trinket, go look! |
I lost a card that was very special to me that my boyfriend had hand written for my bday a year and a half later i was cleaning in my closet and found it! dont give up they will turn up somewhere! |
If you have children you may want to ask them. My kids pick up stuff all the time and move it. One day I lost my wedding ring. I had left it on the kitchen counter. I looked the house over, swept the floors, you name it I did it. When my daughter came home from pre-k I asked her if she had seen it. She had picked it up and put it in her cindarella jewlery box to keep it safe. Hope you find your earrings. By the way the St. Anthony thing really works. connie |
Thanks for all the good wishes everyone...they haven't turned up yet. Notice I said yet...I'm keeping positive thoughts! That carpet thing scares me though because we did put new carpet in the bedroom and new flooring in the adjoining bathroom. Come to think of it...we put a whole new subfloor in the bathroom. Hmmm...maybe I should go look in the basement and make sure they didn't fall through the floor! No kids here that I can ask...just my2boyz and they said they don't know nuthin'! |
My mom used to put jewelry in her purse wrapped in a Kleenex on her way home from many evenings out with my father. Earrings /rings/bracelets that were bothering her after hours of wear. You have NO idea the amount of money not to mention memories that were tossed out as soiled Kleenex. Some items she found after going crazy trying to remember what she did with them only to find them in an evening bag months later. Check your purses for Kleenex, and yes, she as well is extremely organized, most of the time....... |

did you set them in something to clean them maybe? or in a med cabinet or on top of a tv ? you may have put them somewhere you use/pass daily so not to forget? i hope you find them!! |
The tissue thing is a good thought but I don't do that. I would be sick though if I realized I threw away jewelry in a tissue! No, I haven't resorted to checking poo...not sure I could wear them again if I found them in that either! :tongue030 No, I didn't set them in something to clean them but I may have put them in one of the bags of stuff that came out of the bedroom. It seems I very vaguely remember putting them in something but I can't remember what it was. I have 2 bags I haven't gone through yet...maybe they're in one of them :4lc: :xfingers: :hands: |

Thanks! Yes, our contractor is a very nice guy...he could have easily kept my earrings and I would have never known. We gave him the old oak cabinets to use if he wanted, rather than pitch them out, so he put them in storage. When I realized my earrings were missing I called him and asked him to check the cabinets just in case but he said he didn't find anything. Well, today, out of the blue, he called and said he took another look while he was at the storage unit and he found them way down in the corner of the cabinet. He's bringing them over Sunday morning when he comes to finish some work and take out the elevator. I'm soooo glad he found them...I thought they were gone forever! :D |
