Run's baby girl,,,, Died after birth? My husband just called me and told met that Joe's wife Justine (of Run's house) gave birth to a baby girl but it died after birth. I am trying to find any news on it but am not able to come up with anything. I've searched mtv news. aol news, msn news and sirius news and can't find anything. Is this true? Does anyone happen to know what happened? |
I hope this is just a rumor. If not that is terrible, and they are in my prayers :( |
wow,,, ok I did a google search and this is what I found,,,,, Joseph "Reverend Run" Simmons and wife Justine Simmons announced last season on their MTV reality show, Run's House, that they were expecting a baby. Last week they revealed the newborn girl died a short time after delivery. Simmons, from the legendary rap group Run DMC, was at Valley Hospital in Ridgewood New Jersey on Tuesday (Sept. 19) for the birth of his child. When doctors delivered the baby via c-section, they realized the baby girl was born with organs outside the body, reports TMZ.com. The newborn died a short time later. Justine's pregnancy was the cliffhanger on the MTV show last season, which left viewers anxiously following the pregnancy and awaiting the birth. MTV film crews were filming last week at the hospital, although it is unclear if they were in the delivery room when the tragic event took place. Run and Justine have two children, Daniel, 10, and Russell, eight, while the rapper has three children from a previous marriage, Vanessa, 22, Angela, 18, and Joseph, 16. wow,,, I don't get it, how did they not know something was wrong? I feel so bad for them. This baby was so wanted and they all looked so happy with the news of the pregnancy. My heart goes out to them! |
Oh no!!! She was so excited and she wanted a girl...that is so sad. And the cameras were at the hospital for the birth.... |
I can't even imagine what they're going through. That's horrible. I wonder how that didn't show up on the ultrasounds? |
That is so sad. They are all such good people - I really liked watching the show. My heart goes out to them... |
I just found this as well,,,,,,,,,, Sources are reporting that on Tuesday, Rev. Run and his wife Justine delivered a baby girl, but the baby died shortly after. She was born with all her organs on the outside of her body. On Run's House, everybody could see how excited they were about Justine's pregnancy and especially how happy she was about having a girl. However, word is that this could all be a hoax since no other news sources are reporting this tragedy (other than TMZ). This news is not on MTV's website and since they were reportedly at the hospital at the time of the delivery, that is suspicious. Also, the Simmons daughters were spotted out partying this weekend with T.I., and if this story is true where the death happened Tuesday, things ring suspicious once again. And finally, it is likely that an ultrasound (which we can safely assume the wife of Rev. Run would get periodcally) would have shown organs on the outside of the baby's body long before the delivery. Whoever would make up a story like this has a special place down under. But still, this is sad news if true and prayers go out to Rev. Run and his family. |
Rev. Run issued the following statement about the tragic death of his daughter to the Associated Press: "On Sept. 26, 2006, Victoria Anne Simmons for some unknown reason chose to come early and unfortunately did not survive," his statement said. "We must accept whatever is there and once you accept unconditionally, then everything is beautiful. Every pain has a purifying effect. So whatever comes your way, just be thankful. We see life in death and believe in the celebration of life in death." |

That is really really sad she wanted a little girl too:( |
I remember the episode where she was talking about wanting a baby. I feel so sorry for this family. I am glad they have their faith to turn to. |

That breaks my heart. I also wonder how they could not know. Was she far along in the pregancy? Or in the first trimester (I doubt it though because of when the show aired) Maybe this was a high-risk pregancy the whole time. They really did seem excited. Remember the episode where she was telling him that she wanted a baby (I don't know if this was before or after she found out she was pregnant). This is so sad. :( |
I think that MTV hasn't reported it yet out of respect to them. Maybe that is why they just let Rev Run release his own statement. It must have put them in an strange position to be there during such a horrible time. |
