fears and phobias do you have a fear of something? or is it that bad its now a phobia? why do you think you have it?:) i suffer from social phobia which then caused agoraphobia so i cant go out on my own, ive been like it all my life even as a child, doctors think something happened as a child but i cant remember. |
Wow, mine does not measure up to yours as far as inconvenience or life altering but I am VERY claustrophobic. I have flipped in elevators when people kept crowding in and had to push my way out in a panic- very embarrassing! I don't do well in crowds where I feel like I couldn't escape easily and thank God I live in Florida because even coats and heavy sweaters make me feel a little suffocated. |

I'm terrified of slugs. Just the sight of one makes me burst into tears from fear. It's so strange though because I'm not one of those womrn who are scared of bugs, I actually like/am fascinated by them, even spiders........yes I said spiders, haha. But even the mention of a slug makes my skin crawl. Even typing the word makes me sick. I used to have nightmares about them touching my skin, UGH! so gross!:( |

I have a HUGE phobia of vomit.....Ive been that way ever since I can remeber. I havent thrown up since I was a kid and will not let myself b/c I think I will have a heart attack!! The craziest thing is that I work in a hospital and I love what I do, all my coworkers know about it so they would cover if one of my patients gets sick. I start freakin out, cant breath my heart palpitates. Its crazy |

I have phobia of fainting, it was because when i was about 6 my big sister who had just had a tooth extracted at the dentist came home and passed out, from a hemorage (sp?). She was slumped on the floor with her eyes open, just staring at me! i was so freaked out, and i still get scared when people stare,like when they are day dreaming! lol :rolleyes: |

I have astraphobia.............fear of lightning and thunder. It is very serious because I literally get under the bed with my furbabies. |
I am claustrophobic BIG TIME. I could probably go nuts in an elevator if I would allow myself. I have to talk to myself (in my head of course:D) to calm down. I think my phobia stems from being held down as a child by my big brothers when we were playing. |
