foreign language Now that winter is coming it's time to go into hibernation. I thought why not make good use of the time & learn something. Has anyone taught themselves a foreign language w/ the help of a dvd or on the computer? |
No but I'm interested in doing the same thing! I took Spanish in high school (many, many years ago) but have always wanted to learn either Italian (hubby is italian) or French. Haven't done any research yet in the different programs available via dvd, computer program, or internet (they do have some available online - I have searched that much at least), not sure which way I want to do it but will probably pick the dvd or computer program route. If I go internet route, I may have to work and study it faster than my schedule will allow - with a dvd or computer program, I can learn it at my own pace:) Good luck! |
I do know that it would HAVE to be through a method where I can hear the correct pronounciation. I don't know how someone can learn from a book I wouldn't know if I was saying it correctly.:D |
It studied Spanish for several years. I ordered the class on line, it has several CD.s and then there is a site that you can go to, for additional exercises. I also got several work books, and I believe that those helped me the most. If you're interested, you can PM me for details. |
I'm taking spanish now at my local community college. I am having fun but it is not as easy as everyone says. Good Luck, I have never tried the CD's that you buy. |

How about guitar lessons? We bought my daughter a beginners guitar (full size, just not the best out there) off line and have been playing around with it. You can find several sites with DVD/CD's and beginners guides.......by the way, does anyone know of a good guitar learning program? I found several, but didn't know which to buy......so confusing!!! |
