Dog the Bounty Hunter
 

Not sure is anyone here is a fan, but I am so I am doing my part to show support for "The Dog." A brief description of what's going on:
In 2003, Dog, son Leland and brother Tim recieved leads that a fugative whom they were trying to locate--Andrew Luster--was residing (illegally, still a wanted, US citizen) in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. They crossed the border, and accompanied by police, captured Luster. While bringing him back to the US, where he'd already been convicted and sentenced, they were arrested by Mexican officials and held for 7 days. Luster, was returned to the US and is now serving his sentence of 124 years.:thumbup:

Luster's Crime: drugging and raping women (convicted on 3 counts, but claims to have done so to over 80 women):mad:

Fast forward to the present: On Thurs, Sept 14, US Federal Marshals arrested and held Dog, Tim and Leland due to request from Mexico to have them extradited back to face charges for the illegal capture of the criminal--a crime which, in Mexico, is a MINOR MISDEMEANOR! The 3 have been released on bond and are currently awaiting trial to determine if they will be extradited.

What these 3 men did was take a MONSTER off the street and put him where he belongs...BEHIND BARS! The fact that they are now facing extradition for a minor crime when all they did was the right thing morally, is INSANE!:thumbdown

The Dog is so totally cool - I know he's on tv because of his antics - but you gotta hand it to the guy - they go way out of their way to get their man - I think it sucks what Mexico did - there has to be more to this story

I signed.. It is such B.S.. Mexico is just mad because he wouldnt let them take the glory. SOB'S...:mad: :mad:

I love that show. I can't believe that happened to them. They did a good thing and now are trying to be punished for it.

I try to put myself in the shoes of all sides involved and honestly try, with an unbiased opinion, to make some sense out of it, but I just can't! He does so much to actually HELP people who frankly, I don't think even deserve it, and is such a positive person and role model. Those are SO hard to come by these days. What kind of message does this send? "Do the right thing and go to jail in Mexico?":(

I think Luster (the criminal he got in Mexico) are the worst kind!

i watched the family talks last night i think it was the discovery channel? poor beth was VERY upset thoise stupid mexican authorities pulled over dog & crew right after they picked up that luster guy they said 86 counts of rape on the show last night! he was on the fbi most wanted list, some stupid judge let that guy out on milion $ bond and he ran off to puerto viarto mexico or somewhere they caught up with him from a tipster after the dog went on rita show in a bar of all places probably looking for the next victim they searched that guys mexican hideout and found a notebook on people to pay back and more really bad guy they shouldn't punish dog for doing his job and taking that monster off the streets! mexico is REALLY sending a bad example big time!

I too feel bad about this but, this is our GREAT justice system!! I worked in 2 different correctional facilities and let me tell you something...Inmates have more rights than the victims...Look what happened with OJ! I watched that entire trial and I would have to say in all honesty I could NOT have convicted him because the investigation was so botched. I could not have said guilty without reasonable doubt (I not trying to stir any pot here...just my opinion!) The system just protects the criminal...I have seen this soooo much...it's very irritating when a person has made a better life for themselves and try to make a difference in the world and you get idiots like this, that full well know that the criminal did and just let him go...I don't understand...I am not a violent person but GOD HELP ANYONE that ever hurts one of my daughters or any family member....GOD HELP THEM!
