I hope the doctors are able to get to the bottom of this and that your daughter will soon be on the road to recovery. I've been taking neurontin for about 5 years for my MS nerve pain...it might make her 'loopy' for a while when she first starts taking it, but it's a safe medication. Hopefully it'll give her some relief, though its a med that seems to work for some and not for others. I hope she's able to get some relief from her pain :(. |
concerned Just checking in to see how your daughter is doing this morning....Please don't wait until next week for her MRI..I would demand she be seen by another doctor NOW! Especially if she isn't feeling any better. I am very concerned for your daughter. Please keep us updated...I prayed for her last night and prayers are still coming your way. |

This sounds really scary, Im very shocked the doctor didnt want to do the MRI immediately. It sounds like it is spreading fast, maybe you can go ahead and take her to the ER? I hope she gets better fast! |
Praying for a quick recovery for your daughter!!! |

How is your daughter doing...I have been checking for updates... |
I was wondering too. She's been in my prayers all day. |
I've also been thinking of your daughter...and praying she's getting better! |
I just read your post... I'm so sorry. I hope your daughter gets better soon. There is nothing worse than seeing our children in pain. Could it be like a staff infection??? |
i hope your daughter feels better soon. I would take her to the e.r. and not wait till next week for an mri, maybe they will give her one right then, its worth a try |
ok, i looked up some stuff on the computer and it talks about how a strep b infection can turn into strep b disease and effect certain tissues etc. This could be what is effecting her knee..... I would not wait. I would take her to the ER and not leave til they tell you something. It can be treated with antibotics. |
maybe i'm wrong... maybe thats just with new borns and pregant people... |
update Thank you all so much for your concern!! She is now doing a lot better - although we still don't know what this was/is! We are still going through tests but she is able to walk without the crutches and she can sleep. We don't know if it is the neurontin that is making her feel better or just she is getting over it. They did blood work also to make sure there was no infection. I take her back to the doctor the 24th unless she gets worse again and will let you all know what happens. Again thank you all for your thoughts and prayers!!:) |
I will continue to pray for her complete recovery. |
Reagan, Hope the worst is over and no more issues. |
