How fun! I am happy for your mom too! |
Have a great time! We are leaving to go there next Tuesday. I am excited too it is my Son and Daughters first time there. |
As a self proclaimed Disney Expert, I must say I am very jealous of both of you.;) That's alright though, I'm going back in 60 days, so I'll make it.:D Let's see, to eat, definately hit the Rainforest Cafe with or without kids. There are two, the one in The Animal Kingdom you will have about a 20 min wait time vs 3 hours or more at the Downtown Disney location. If you do have kids, I reccomend a character dinner...the Princess dinner in Norway or the Garden Grill in the Land...both in Epcot are our favorites. If you have kids, be sure to get to Toontown in Magic Kingdom about 20-30 minutes before they open and wait...at the right side of the rope b/c that's the side that they open.;) If you are one of the first ones in and to one of the waiting characters, you can ride the rollercoaster with Goofy, or let Minnie take you on a tour of her house. They hide a few paintbrushes on Tom Sawyer's island every morning. If you find one, you get a front of the line certificate for one of the bigger rides. In Animal Kingdom, ride in the single rider line if you can for Everest, it's about a 10 minute wait vs the regular line. But the regular line is a really neat wait b/c you go through this really cool museum. Honestly...I could go on and on all day telling you stuff.:) |

Ohhh How exciting for you!!!! That sounds like so much fun! We went to Disney about 2 years ago over spring break and i swear I will never do that again! It was so freakin crowded, I think you are going about the right time! Have fun and tell Mickey I said Hi!!!!!!!! |
My Husband found a real good site that tells you on what days to go to the parks, based on activities of that park and the other parks. It also tells you what order to ride the rides so you dont wait in line longs. He also has a guide to let you know the best and least crowded places to sit for Fireworks, Parades and Shows. He has said that we have saved alot of $ and has gotten us some hard to get dinning reservations by using his advice. The Web Site is Called TourGuideMike.com and here is a link. http://www.tourguidemike.com/ |

Fran have a blast and a well deserved great time!!! And you know Grandma will spoil Sophie to pieces. |
You are so lucky you have your Mom to watch Sophia. I have to board Chachi and Jewels and I am real nervous about that. Luckily it is our groomer that is boarding them so I feel better about that than just going to a boarding facility. |
thats great fran, you go and have a great time,, you deserve it...sofia will be in good hands. take lots of pictures.. |
at epicot they have different countrys like germany japan and so on in the store in japan there's a place where you pick out and oyster and they open it and you get it's pearl it's like $14 but it's cool & in a store in the germany they have mohair bears they are amazing i wanted one but they are so expensive! also one of those parks i think magic kingdom i don't remember has a lion king show make sure you see it! at animal kingdom the petting zoo only has mostly goats ! hopefully it won't be as crowded as when we went there about 2 months ago there were millions of people at those parks and you had to wait so long to get on anything even with fast pass...the fast pass you can't use it but for one ride at a time you have to wait until this 1st fast pass time expires to get another for another ride. you will pay $9 per day to park. get a map of orlando to find ways to get to the parks from where your staying and avoid tolls they add up so fast also there's a name brand outlet store there if your into shopping the have dooney & bourke burberry coach and lots more! |
Have a great trip...I'm sure you'll have lots of fun...I haven't been there in years... |
Woooo-hooooooooo! Have lots of fun, Fran!:D |

I just went to DisneyWorld about a month ago. :D The Rainforest Cafe is REALLY neat. I'm not a huge fan of the food (I am very picky when it comes to food) but the inside is really really neat, so I would recommend that as well. Also, we went to dinner at the France restaraunt (I forgot the name of it) and the food/service was so good. :) Another night we went to the Mexico restaraunt but I didn't really like the food, but the building that it was in was really neat. Also, I ate at Tony's Town Square at the Magic Kingdom and the food was HORRIBLE. At MGM Studios, I had dinner at the Hollywood Brown Derby which was really good as well. Also, I have heard that the Coral Reef restaraunt is really neat but they (along with most of the popular restaraunts) book up pretty quickly. I would suggest to try to make reservations as soon as possible. As far as rides and such, I'd suggest getting fast passes to them and using that time to walk around/shop/and ride the less popular rides. We did that and never waited it line over 10-15 minutes and rode everything.. some things twice. If you are staying at a DisneyWorld Resort, take advantage of the perks. While you may have to wait in a line a bit for the busses that go to the park, it's well worth it. Take advantage of Extra Magic Hours. We went whenever we could and the only time it wasn't really benefitical was at Animal Kingdom and that's because a lot of the animal things (The Safari ride, the Asian tiger part, etc.) closed at the normal time. However, we were able to ride on the new ride that was there with little wait. I would def. suggest it. It was really fun! I'd also recommend Downtown Disney.. they have a lot of neat shops and stuff there that are open late. They even have a little dog and cat boutique-type store that has a lot of cute things.. I got three really nice bowls from there that were on clearance. :) I actually was dreading going (after having gone a few times in the past) but I actually really enjoyed myself, although I while say it gets a little tiring after about 5 or so days. I would LOVE to go back for Christmas this year though. Have fun! |
I'm so happy for you!! I went to WDW in May and had the time of my life. My friend took me and it was my first time there. :D We ate in Mexico the first night, it was GREAT!! you should go there!! We went to Epcot every day because our hotel was right behind it, so it was within walking distance which was awesome. we also ate in Italy. We also ate at the Rainforest Cafe in downtown Disney. The food was really good and everyone was incredibly friendly! In Animal Kingdom you HAAAVE to ride the new rollar coaster, Expedition Everest. I didnt' like rollar coasters at all until I went on that one! I was terrified waiting in line, but it was AWESOME. |
Hey Megan...I was there in May too! |
I am really looking forward to this trip...Thank you all for your suggestions!! I will have lotsa pics upon my return!!! YYYYYAHOOOOOO!! XoXoXo |
Have Fun! Oh Grandma Is Going To Spoil The Baby While Your Gone! |
