My Week :( So this week has been so dreadful! I have been planning a HUGE conference for about 6 months with 10 really big companies, we have 350 students registered, 100 on the wait list and I'm going CRAZY!!! The conference is this Saturday and I have to be there from 5:30am-7pm + a Conference dinner on Friday night from 6-10pm. I had to work tonight until 8 doing a training and I'm really, really sleepy! Plus, one of my contacts has gotten my cell phone number and insists on calling me every night with random questions, I'm so breaking up with him when we meet :) Guess i just needed to vent to people I actually like since those I work with are NOT my favorite people right now. I have to attempt to sleep since I teach an 8am class tomorrow and drop the monkeys off at 7am (AGHHHHHHHHHHHHHH)!!!!! |
I'm sorry for your crummy week, mine has been awful too. Try to get as much rest as you can before saturday. Let the monkeys make you feel beter. I just found out I have to either move or get a new job within a month, to live in my place because they are raising the rent on me again. It sucks. So now I'm going crazy applying at Yahoo, Google and any silicon valley company so I can get more pay. On top of that my relationship is sinking and it is not a good feeling. But you know what, tomorrow is another day that we are alive and healthy, and we can hold each others hands through it all :D I can hold yours :p |
Hope both of you have better days soon. It is so true, when you have your health you are rich!! |
Vent girl vent! Please...let it all out!!!!!! LOL! It will all be over by Sunday! YAY!!!!!!!! It will go quick! The busier you are, the quicker it goes!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!! |
go ahead and get it all out...It will be the weekend before you know it.....:) |
Oh man - that sounds like a huge headache....and hugs to you both. I'll be job LOOKING again after being laid off 5 years now and don't relish it. I just know I won't make decent money and now that I'll be the only one working I'm pretty scared......no - make that REALLY scared....:( and Kimberly - knowing I'll be spying on your monkeys today has GOT to make you smile....I mean - really - Do I have NOTHING better to do ?? I get such a kick out of them :D :D |
oh and one more thing....You may want to let Day Care know that if the little chair stealers keep sitting in Hallies chair - they may be getting a call from Texas :p :p :p :p :p hehe - She's SO cute ....little Simon is a bit braver but that Chair is Hallies ! |
How very stressful! I pray you have a wonderful rest and that everything goes according to planned! |
I always feel better after I have vented! Btw my sister in law just sent this it is long but timely. So I thought I would share. Enjoy :p SISTERS A young wife sat on a sofa on a hot, humid day, drinking iced tea and visiting with her mother. As they talked about life, about marriage, about the responsibilities of life and the obligations of adulthood, the mother clinked the ice cubes in her glass thoughtfully and turned a clear, sober glance upon her daughter. "Don't forget your Sisters," she advised, swirling the tea leaves to the bottom of her glass. "They'll be more important as you get older. No matter how much you love your husband, no matter how much you love the children you may have, you are still going to need Sisters. Remember to go places with them now and then, do things with them. Remember that 'Sisters' means ALL the women...your girlfriends, your daughters, and all your other women relatives and close friends too. You'll need other women. Women always do." "What a funny piece of advice!" the young woman thought. "Haven't I just gotten married? Haven't I just joined the couple-world? I'm now a married woman, for goodness sake! A grownup! Surely my husband and the family we may start will be all I need to make my life worthwhile!" But she listened to her mother. She kept contact with her Sisters and made more women friends each year. As the years tumbled by, one after another, she gradually came to understand that her mom really knew what she was talking about. As time and nature work their changes and their mysteries upon a woman, sisters are the mainstays of her life. After more than 75 years of living in this world, here is what I've learned: THIS SAYS IT ALL: Time passes......... Life happens......... Distance separates...... Children grow up..... Jobs come and go........ Love waxes and wanes........ Men don't always do what they're supposed to do...... Hearts break......... Parents die......... Colleagues forget favors.......... Careers end. BUT......... Sisters are there, no matter how much time and how many miles are between you. A girl friend is never farther away than needing her can reach. When you have to walk that lonesome valley and you have to walk it by yourself, the women in your life will be on the valley's rim, cheering you on, praying for you, pulling for you, intervening on your behalf, and waiting with open arms at the valley's end. Sometimes, they will even break the rules and walk beside you. Or come in and carry your sorry butt out. Girlfriends, daughters, granddaughters, daughters-in-law, sisters, sisters-in-law, mothers, grandmothers, aunties, nieces, cousins, and extended family, they all bless our lives! The world wouldn't be the same without women, and neither would I. When we began this adventure called womanhood, we had no idea of the incredible joys and sorrows that lay ahead. Nor did we know how much we would need each other. Every day, we need each other still. Pass this on to all the women who help make your life meaningful. Nothing good or bad is going to happen, but you will let others know how you feel. I just did because I love you all. Have a great day |
