gosh!!!!! >.< OKAY!!! I've had ENOUGH! FOR the past month now this one random girl (not one of my friends, but I think she was an ex-worker) keeps prank calling me... believeeee me I don't get mad easily... the FIRST 10 times was like okay ha ha funny... BUT then when I left for a sec I got 32 missed calls and then it got creepy especially with the perverted stuff she says... seriously, I know for a fact this isn't one of my friends...and I know when to take a joke... (hey we've all done pranks before) but its been a month now and the same girl keeps calling me saying like perverted stuff and leaving voicemail messages and text messages... I ignore the call now cuz she calls with a blocked number, but my Dad calls me with a Block number too so I have to pick it up sometimes when I think it's him. (He's on business right now and its a company phone so thats why its blocked)... anyways so I called T-mobile and they can't block the number from calling me and I called the nonemergency 911 line.. they said to call T-mobile which I did but T-mobile can't do anything about and they said to change my number... I don't want to change my number for something as stupid as this.. plus there would be WAY TOO many people to tell..I've had this number for like years now... I've tried to tell the person at first to stop calling then I got pissed and yelled and told my friend to call to get them to stop. Finally I just ignore them but its SO ANNOYING when I think its my Dad and I pick it up and its some stupid girl saying something stupid... Is there another solution to this stupid problem!? OTHER than changing my #???? And no my phone can't block certain unwanted calls... |
hmm if you want it to stop FAST, then I would change the #... or when you pick up the phone and its that girl.. get one of those blow horns that people use when they go to a football game and blow it into ur cell... after a few time she would stop or go deaf..one or the other :p |
Call the phone company first thing in the morning. I had this problem once and they were able to help me. Worth a shot. |
i agree with olivia, or get you husband or boyfriend or any guy to answer next time and pretend to be some horny old man :p |

i would call you cell comp back and ask to speak with a manager and also talk to a police officer this is harrasment and it's against the law also try the whistle thing to but call the police really |
Call the phone number. There is a feature called *57 -- it records the phone the call is coming from. If you get two *57 calls within a 15 minute period, then the phone company will investigage. |
that is so immature of the prank caller. Seriously, enough is enough. Doesn't she have a life? Anyway, I would just whistle into the phone the next time she calls. I know that t-mobile won't help, I had a similar situation where the person did not believe me that I was not "Marilyn". anyhoo....hope the loud noise works. The next tifme you speak to your father, tell him to leae a message so that you know its him calling. Sorry for the annoying caller. |
Also you should keep a record of everytime they call and what they say so if you report it to the police you have a record. (Date, time, and message.) |

I did! I called 911 and was put to a non emergency line.. then after a while they said they can't do anything about it cuz I don't know who the person is... they said unless I really know who the person is and can give me their name/number and maybe a address then they can't do anything about it either! I thought they would help at least and call them to give them a warning or something but they didnt... |

My then 16 year old daughter had this happening and we called the police. I was kind of surprised, but they took it very seriously. Within the day they knew where the call was coming from and it was stopped immediately. |

WHAT!!!! they told me they couldnt do anything about it cuz i dont know the person!!! |

I dont get it though.. so I call *57 then I call her!??! I dont want to call her... I dont know why she is harassing me... the only reason I think it is an ex-coworker is because this one other girl complained to the manager once because she was prank calling her like 10 times a day... |
My daughter was doing a lot of modeling at the time and was on some commercials and in various papers. It turned out to be coming from a real estate office, so when the police made a visit, the management quickly put a stop to it. The guy was like 24 years old! BTW I did keep records for at least 3 or 4 days. She too had a lot of friends who were blocked for some reason or the other that she wanted them to be able to get through. |
Maybe you just came up with a solution - tell your manager if you are on a friendly basis with him. |
Oh but the person was an ex-employee that moved... i dont think my manager can do anything about it now... |
My ex is a cop and my daughter had a similar issue. I believe the police are able to track the number if they feel it's a serious enough issue. I had contacted t-mobile who was unable to track the number, they didn't even show the call coming in. I was like they just called 4 times in the last 10 minutes!!!!! What we did for my daughter was my friend, a guy, answered the phone "Office Smith".... then did this little spiel about how he was investigating these calls and that the number was in the process of being traced, etc. It stopped for a few days then starte back up again. Being that not too many people have her number I just had it changed, no big of a deal. You are being harassed and that is serious. I would contact the police and tell them who you suspect it is. But to be honest, it seems the easiest and fastest solution is to change your number. If this person then calls this number, I'd pursue it with the police. Good luck |
I had a similar problem with who I called my "phone stalker" and I ended up calling the cops about harassment. They really took interest in my case, subpoena'd my phone records, etc. And they got him to stop calling me for good!!! Oh happy day. The thing is, never talk to them or call this person back, and when they call, open your phone, and close it. Make sure you register it as an incoming call instead of a missed call, that way it will show up more times on your phone records, etc. Good luck! It sucks, girl I know! |
