I am so glad that nothing happened to her. Leashed at all times sounds good! |
im sure he was so scared sounds like he Loves her it only takes one second and they could be gone i would use a leash til she 100% |
Ahhh... Gina, I know how you both feel. I had my 4 year old son today take off and run in front of a parked semi about to pull out. I grabbed him by the shirt to pull him back. The truck was not moving yet but the driver did not see him. I looked later and noticed my nails dug into the back of his neck and scratched him when I grabbed his shirt. I feel soooo bad but at least he is alive. These little ones can scare the c#@p out of us taking off like that. |
That is what happened to Missy's baby Kloey. She had always done great off her leash... until one day and she heard kids too. She wasnt as lucky as Lexi. So I agree. Maybe this was a lesson well learned. Glad everything is ok. |

Gina I'm so glad lexi is ok. I'm sure your b/f was so darn scared, he just didnt know how to handle it, I'm not saying smacking her was the right thing to do, cause I never hit my baby, I dont even hit my kids, I'm a softie when it comes to disipline, I know I should be more firm with them, but I cant help it, it's the way I was raised. But please always use a leash! |
i will , i will , i promise, l rather be safe than sorry... cant trust these little ones |
Gina, I think we've all been in a situation where we've off leashed our dog and they prove to us that they CANNOT be trusted off leash, even if it's in the front of our house for a potty session. These curious georges have a mind of their own!! |
I can let jewels off the leash and she will stay with me but i would never trust her around a street. I would keep her on a leash when you are around a street |
THANK GOD nothing happened to your little girl!! I am sure your b/f nearly died of fright. I don't trust Nikko with a 10 foot pole so he is leashed at all times while outside. It only takes a second for something bad to happen. As for the smacking, it isn't right but we have all made mistakes. When Nikko was a puppy I caught him chewing on an electrical cord. I lightly swatted his bottom and he was so scared his little stump dipped right between his legs. I felt so bad that my baby was scared of me that I never did it again. But sometimes fear and anger get the best of us. |
believe me, if she needs a swat she gets a swat....if i can catch her. this morning she was barking, barking, barking at 7am... i told her to stop, she didnt, finally i ran so fast to try and get her and swat her, she heard me running from the other room and she ran so fast into my bedroom and went under my bed where i couldnt get her..i had to laugh.... if i would of gotten her, she would of gotten a swat... oooh she just pushes my buttons.. enough is enough you know... and barking at nothing really.... sometimes she makes me crack up.. |
