Moving 2 Puerto Rico! 4 Attachment(s) So I decided that I will be moving back to Puerto Rico over the summer. I will be living with my family in Rio Piedras and will be attending the University of Puerto Rico in Rio Piedras :). I'm soooo excited. Rio Piedras is sooo beautiful and green with lots of breeze!! My family lives right in the Campo (country) with lots of land. So hopefully I can find my furbaby by the time I move out there! :aimeeyork These are some pictures of Rio Piedras. I have more but they are to big to post :(. The last 2 pics are the university in Rio Piedras. |
Jessica....I didn't know u were Boricua!!!! :D Well, congratulations on the move. Who knows, maybe when I go back in December I'll swing by, lol. |

Best wishes to you. Let us hear from you when you are settled. We'll be looking for a Dr. Gorjess in the news@ Do you have any idea how prevalent Yorkies are there and/or what they are selling for? I've wondered if there are differences in different parts of the world in the types of Yorkies produced?:) For example, are the Yorkies in Europe quite frequently larger than those in the US? Good luck & God bless. |

Bon voyage! I'm always curious in the history of people - How do they decide to come to the US? and what makes them decide to go home? Especially if your family is still there, what made you want to come here? I hope I'm not appearing rude. I'm not critical, just curious (nosey???) :hearts6: :animal37 Good luck & God bless. |
Awwh!! I just know that you will find your little furbaby soon!! I love puertorico I went there on a cruise a couple of years ago an LOVED it!! |
Oops - Sorry. So sorry for the double post, I must have sent before I was through. That is probably kind of like engaging mouth before brain is in gear. I seem to do that a lot. I'm sorry to hear that dogs don't seem to be truly appreciated in PR. Maybe you are better off finding your pup before you go. Sounds like even with some of the breeder issues we have, it might still be safer to get it here. If you take one of our American citizens out of the country, though, you have to promise to teach it the Star Spangled Banner.:lol tears Yeah, I know I'm not really funny. My kids tell me that all the time. Again, good luck to you & let us hear from you, hopefully with photos.:) |

My family is from Yabucoa. :) |
Congrats! I moved from Arecibo Puerto Rico 2 years ago............I miss it. |
How lucky you are!!! I was born in Rio Piedras. I was in PR this past Feb and had a blast!! My brother lives in Guaynabo which is close to Rio Piedras...I absolutely love where he lives. I'm actually thinking about going in Feb again and I'm taking my furbabies. My brothers ex (in PR) has a Yorkie and he is absolutely adorable and my cousin has 3 Yorkies. Oh and when I go I plan on looking at homes out there:D Good luck!!! |

All my family is originally from Utuado, but have them all scattered around. I have lots of family in Guaynabo and Isla verde. ;) I had a choice between PR or Arizona for x-mas. Last year it was PR so now am going to see my mom in Arizona............and bringing back my yorkie pup :D |
Congrats! I just got back from PR about a week ago, and I'm ready to go back. I miss my family soo much. But anyhow GOOD LUCK! My sister attends the InterAmericana University in Bayamon. I saw your comment on buying a Yorkie in PR, and I just wanted to tell you that I bought my Teddy there a year ago. He's healthy, and he's AKC registered. I had been looking for a Yorkie for about 3yrs, but they were just really expensive. When I went to PR on vacation I looked in the newspaper El Nuevo Dia, and found Teddy. Needless to say I didn't pay $1000.00 for him. Good luck in school and enjoy the island. |
Oh congratulations! How fun! I was raised in Mayaguez and I miss it! I can't wait to go back :) |
