Back to school Night Parents -- would you rather your child's teacher review the curriculum or discuss strategies/skills to help your child at home during back to school night? |
Sorry, I don't have any kids, but I wanted to bump this up for you! :D :p :D :p :D |
I would want plenty of time for both, but when my son was in elementary they only gave 15 minutes per child. We had to make other arrangements with the teacher to discuss things at length. Now that he is in Jr. high, I communicate with his teachers via email. Works out great for all of us.:) |
My daughter is a 5th grade teacher and they have 2 parent nights. The first is the week before school starts, where the parents can come and "just talk" to the teacher about anything. Then, during the second week of school, they have curriculum night, where each teacher does a formal presentation of the curriculum for the year. I think it may be required. She doesn't like the curriculum night, she always complains about it - not sure why though. |
