this morning lexi came into my bed under the covers and curled up and leaned right next to my heart... oh what a feeling... i wanted to cry.. i have no children, so she is the child of mine..... she made sure she was so so close to me pushing herself until you couldnt stick a finger inbetween us.. she just
snuggled up and laid there and went to sleep listening to my heart beat and listening to me breathe.... i was on my side, so her head was resting on my
arm... i tell ya , i will be destroyed if anything ever happens to her... just thinking about it makes me cry...just had to share with you..

Awww Gina, now you are going to make me cry, at work!! I know the feeling. I don't have kids either and I consider Nikko my baby boy. Yesterday I felt so bad about leaving him alone (hubby went back to work, he's a teacher) that I bought him a shopping bag full of cookies, flossies, bully stix, etc. I ran home to make sure he was ok. I couldn't stop worrying about him all day. They are so precious to us that we can't bear to think of what our lives would be like without them. I hope you are blessed with many many more years of special moments with your Lexi.:)

That is very sweet!!! I do have skinkids, but I feel the same way about Sissy. I don't know what I'd ever do without her!!!

i know and it toments me sometimes just thinking about it...my mom says she cant sleep at nite cause she thinks if something would happen to lexi, her daugher would be gone too ... she's crazy, but she knows me like a book

awww.. Gina... Maddy used to do that to me sometimes and I miss that.. but I am still lucky I have Gizmo..,... you are so lucky to have that unconditional love from her..... give her some kisses!

That is so sweet. My Joey always goes up and lays his head on my shoulder and snuggles. Just makes my heart swell.

awww that is so sweet! I have a little boy who just loves to snuggle under the blankies, so close between my husband and i we really wonder how in the world he can breath, and our little girl Emerald curls on my husbands pills around his head, with her face in mine i move and she does, she like to feel my breath on her face, and our raven......kwhen we first got her she was so very afraid of everything and had nothing to do with any of us, until i started taking her to bed with us, and now it has to be on her own terms, not our she comes and snuggles besides my hubby's tummy and comes and sniffs mommy to get her up to go potty, i can now get her to come to me and give kisses, it used to break my heart that she didn't trust anyone, and now it just burst my chest with pride when she looks up at me and asks for loves... i guess that it proves, and everyone needs love some take it eagerly while others need time.........my maltese dutchess, well she is in there like a dirty shirt and needs everyone to know she is alpha female and she is IMPORTANT! LOL! and there is our shihtzu sheeba who our family has dubbed her as froggie, because she has this long narrow tongue that needs to cleans everyone, and everything ......my husband shaves his head and sheeba will not leave his bald head alone at night until she has groomed him to her liking, even if it means lying on his face to do it! they have become to mean so much to me, i tell everyone i have 3 kids and 5 furkids, i know some people are disgusted that i have 5 dogs in the house, but i look at it they are here to stay, just like my kids are, they make a mess we clean it up and move on, i would be devestated if anything what so ever would happen to them!!!!!

Thats precious Gina, I have 2 grown children, but I wouldn't take anything for my babies, how would you like 3 in bed doing the same and one big one trying to do the same...lol.....:D

awwww Gina, I sure know how you feel hun! all I can say is just love her to pieces while you can! I know we can get agitated at these babies when they mis behave, but let me tell you, I would rather have her mis behave then not be here with me.

For some reason, no matter what Lillie does wrong, I cant scold her for it, I may say no to her, but then I automaticlly pick her up and hug her. She is my precious blessing, I swear I treat her better then my own kids sometimes and thats so bad. I just love her so darn much!
