Moms?? Do you take pictures the first day of school?? 3 Attachment(s) I do,I love taking pictures of my kids, and of course the first day of school is no exception, I would love to see your kids first day of school pics:rolleyes: I think is fun:D I have 3 kids, 10(5th grade), 9(3rd), and 5(kindergarden). |
Your kids are really cute!!! My mom used to make me and my 2 bros stand on the fireplace and take pics on the first day of school until I was in High school...then I was like ok mom enough. Then she started with pics of the 1st day of a new job...she is funny |
My mom did it every year, even my first year of college!!! The years after that she wasn't home when I left for school, so no pictures :) |

As a bus driver, you wouldn't believe how many parents stand out there taking pictures of the kids getting on the bus. Then when they get on, they have them turn around and wave to the camera. Usually the first day of school, the buses are getting there just in time....LOL |
Of course!! Who wouldn't? I just got home from taking my oldest a 1st grader to school. I had the camera and she was looking at me like I was from Mars! My son starts tomorrow, it's fun to watch them grow up into little people!:) |

1 Attachment(s) I got this cute little photo album when my daughter started preschool. It is big enough to hold 1 pic per page. Every year we take a close up of her face and a full length shot to see the 1st day of school outfit. It almost makes me cry looking at that album and seeing how crazy fast she changes and grows up. She started 6th grade this year- middle school- God help me!:rolleyes: |
They are all so cute!! I think kids just grow up soooo quickly now and pictures are great. I wish my kids wouldn't grow up:D I miss when they were babies, but I dont miss the diapers:D My 10 year old thinks he is a teenager, everyday he gets bigger, I am actually very short and he is as tall as I am, I am only 5, 2":D |

My mom always took pictures of my brother and I on our first day of school. We would always be all dressed up in our new 'school clothes' and excited about our first day. The pictures were always taken in the same spot in our house - it's really kindof neat to look back at them now and see how we changed from year to year. I can still remember some of the horrible outfits I wore... a purple dress with some pink shoes comes to mind.... When (if?) I have kids someday, I think I would do the same thing. |
It starts in the 6th here.... We just moved from an area where 6th was still elementary! ugh!! That would have been nice!!! Yeah, KATE is really excited!!! She thinks its the best thing ever!!! Just wait till the homework starts piling up!!! That will change their tunes!!!! Muahahahahahaha!!!! ;) |
Well my little boy didn't make it through the day he got a stomache ache and i had to go get him i feel so bad because i know it was just nerves i didn't know what to do for him so i just brought him home the poor guy |
Awwww, Poor Guy! Thats a toughie for sure!! But kisses and belly rubs from mom are a sure fire cure!!! Of course you could always teach him the "Secret Tummy Ache Trick" I taught it to Katie. oops, Kate, when she was in the first grade... It got her perfect attendance the next two years! When you feel icky Pinch your pinky fingertip, the whole thing nail and all, on your left hand.. with your right hand... and count to ten in your head s l o w l y. . . . ;) And then tell your self that its only a couple of hours till you get to come home! :p Kate used it alot! lol and it worked! lol She never came home in the 1st or 2nd grade and only came home in the 3rd cause she was hurt on the playground... That she could not talk herself through... She said she tried! Poor baby! Keep us posted and let us know how day 2 goes! |
Well, my kids are 21 and 23 years old now, but yes, I did ALWAYS take pics the first day of school. Standing in front of our open front door was the spot and it turned out to be a great measuring place to show growth each year. I was very anal about stuff like this and when they graduated from high school, I put together a powerpoint slide show with photos beginning with their newborn photo, each month of their first year, and each year thereafter along with the special photos of dance recitals, homecoming, prom and graduation. It was such a big hit that my sister did the same for my niece when she graduated this year. A printed page was all the first day of school pics starting with preschool through senior year. They were side by side and labeled and really cute all together. Your kids are beautiful. Keep up the good work!!! |
