OMG! Huge profit on Ebay!
 
So I went to Michaels and they had these cute Nick JR Dora Birthday foam favor kits where the kids can make and decorate their own hats, bracelets, and Present Badges with stickers and glitter pens. The kits were on clearance for only $.75, the original price was $7.99. So I bought 2 thinking that I could try to Ebay them for the fun of it. If they didn't go for much it wouldn't be a big loss and I could just donate them to my son's school or something if it didn't work out.
So I put one of them on eBay and now it's going for $6.25 and there's still 15 hours left in the auction! The person is still getting a good deal though because it was originally $7.99! But for me that's a huge profit from only $.75! This is so exciting and fun! I wish I would have bought more! It makes me want to go shopping for stuff just for eBay lol!

I haven't had much luck selling on ebay, I guess I'll have to give it another try :)

that is always awesome when you make a few extra pennies. I did that with some suntan lotion I had bought.

I think it depends also on what day you list! If you get it to where your auction ends over the weekend it does SO MUCH better! A book that didn't sell for $2 last week is going for $8 now. Same thing on another one of my books that didn't sell for $3 last week is up to $7.50. Both of them are only worth a couple dollars on another website. Maybe it's because more people have time off to go online shopping. But that's my tip to everyone!

Wow! Good for you! I once bought a whole slug of scrapbooking books from the dollar store and I should have kept track of how much I made. They retailed for $14.99 and a few I got that on, but the average was probably about $7 a book. I made hundreds of dollars! I've also gone to Target and bought halloween costumes when they have their 90% off sale and have made a bundle on them too!!!

That's really smart! I LOVE after holiday sales and I always hit them up to put into storage until next year. If we actually had the room for it I would do the same thing. I have seen Halloween outfits sell really good on there too.

I must say I love ebay as well, congrats to you!

I sold some of my husbands old Bob and Tom CD's and made a little extra money, when you have stuff just sitting around, mise well sell it and make some dough!!

I have an old bob and tom cd! I wonder how much it will go for... I also wonder if my hubby would notice some of his dvds missing :rolleyes: We have WAY too many dvds that we will probably never watch again! Every few months we get a free one from blockbuster. The last one was "Birth" and we HATED it and ar embarassed to have it in our collection. But we still have the dvd! Go figure.

The older ones don't do too bad. But to avoid making lots of auctions with lots of fees I would just do some big lots of them.

I love eBay! It is so funny to see how much people are willing to pay for something! Oh, I do think it is true about ending your items on the weekend. I always do the seven day listings, trying to start them on a Saturday or Sunday, so they end on the weekend too. It is amazing how high some things go.....you just never know what people are looking for!!!!

I love ebay, my brother sells stuff on it all the time. I am thinking about selling some dresses I have. I have alot of very nice dresses that I have never worn before. I am a dress fanatic.:rolleyes: But I usually get them all in clearance, so what may cost me $4 I can sell the dress for $60, a little less than the orginal price, and I think this would be a good profit. It is amazing what you can sell on ebay!!!

That reminds me, my brother just bought a t-shirt that says "I did not lose my mind, I sold it on ebay." :D

LOL, that sounds like a cute shirt! It sounds like a good idea if your closet is getting too full. I have all kinds of cute little shirts that I barely wore back when I was skinny. I keep wishing that I would lose weight someday and fit back into them though!
