doesn't pay to be a good person now im up a creek without a paddle..a few years back i took out a car loan for 24,000 for an old boyfriend. jerk that i am....anyway he has been paying every month, but now the payment for this month has not been paid yet. just found out he lost his job and i think im screwed.. i think i can have the reposess the truck, but afraid he will come after me...i feel bad to take the truck away, i just do.. i hate being a bad person... |
Well maybe he shouldnt have lost his job. I'd repossess. Hes messing with YOUR life and credit..Not his!!! I used to super nice too....I have learned to be other wise at times! HAHA:D |
I wouldn't risk my credit for anyone... If he's not making the payments, he shouldn't have the car. Tell him to apply for his own loan and "buy" yours out or you're going to take the car.... If he doesn't, get the car back and sell it to pay off the loan (unless you want to keep it yourself). That's just what I would do.... |
the reason i did this is cause he has no credit and im a jerk.. |
It's sp hard to be a good person these days i completely understand and if he can't make the payments tll him you will repo the truck and tell him to get a job!!! I hope this works out for you i'm sorry this has happened. |
i dont know exacty where he lives and i dont want to talk to him. my b/y is livid right now.. he says he has till friday to pay or he is going after him... i want no trouble....he doesnt have the money to pay it off i know it. oh by the way.. he is married... dont kill me please.. please dont |
You're not a jerk... If you were you wouldn't have taken the loan out for him! That's the exact reason I won't cosign for anybody. Don't wanna get screwed in the end.... Doesn't he have a parent or something who could cosign? I doubt you're the only person that can help him. If he can't do it, get the car back and sell it to pay the loan off.... If you let him keep doing this you're risking your credit... Over time it could mean higher interest rates on your own credit cards and loans. Credit ratings can effect your insurance premiums too. Could cost you thousands in interest in the long run (especially if it affects a home loan!)... There's too much at stake. Hopefully he's only missed one payment so far. Get this fixed before it gets worse. Edited: Just read he's married!!!! Whatcha doin' girl?! Get out of this situation and FAST! Do I sound like some kind of a hard @$$ here? My dad instilled these huge money/credit card/loan management values on me. He drilled this into my head and now I'm all anal about it too! |
