had any luck selling on ebay??? if so, what do you think sells the best??? |
Kids clothes sell good if their name brand. Tools sell really well also. Dog stuff sells good! |
I've sold mostly children's clothes but have sold some hummels before. |
childrens clothes do you get what you want from them?? and new or used??? |
Well I sold some of my 3 yr olds stuff the other day. They were used but still in great condition. I got 45.00 for like 23 pcs of clothing |
Used...but gently worn...no stains or rips. Sometimes I get what I want and others, I don't...but either way, it's way more than if I had a garage sale. I got $65 for 2 of my daughter's outfits before...and one of those outfits was a hand-me-down from her cousin. |
Children's clothes are a BIG seller. All of my daughter clothes are name-brand, some new, some gently worn. I have sold a 2 pair of her jeans (in one auction, listed together) for $60 a few years back. We also hunt yard sales, etc. for good name brand clothing. Anything relating to pets seem to sell good. I have sold several of Mojo's outfits or something that we didn't like and got more than I paid for it. I homeschool and the homeschool items have always sold well! I have never had to relist any of that stuff. (Learning books, games, curriculum, etc.) I use to sell Discovery Toys and have (had) a massive inventory of business stuff and toys....I have pretty much sold ALL of that stuff and have made way more than I had invested in it (plus, alot of that stuff were prizes, free business supplies, etc). Oh, I have sold a lot of children's books (all kinds) and they have always gone well. I sell some in sets or by themselves. These are items that you can get a yard sales, etc too. BUT my daughter loves to read, and always has...so we buy tons of books for her (love the book outlets)! Good luck and happy eBaying! |
Car parts sell real good too. |
I think anything can sell on eBay...I've sold old used books, textbooks, purses, clothing, and miscellaneous stuff that I don't use. I even got $300 for an old drumset we had at our house. |

Am interested in selling on ebaby too Hi, I have thought about selling on Ebay also, and was happy to see your post here. I was wondering about Pay Pal, is that easy to set up and what does others think of Pay Pal? I have never had a yard sale or garage sale, have donated things to Cerebal Palsy or other organizations. Friends have mentioned that I should check out Ebay, so I would like to find out all I can about it and see about selling on there too. Maybe after we get moved, I will be able to find time to do for others it might be fun getting a ittle business on Ebay of my sewing and knitting, and maybe eventually my paintings :) Thanks again for bringing this up. Patti Wow just read others posts, we have two vehicles wanting to sell, how do I find this on ebay? |
Paypal isn't difficult to set up. There is a link to it from ebay. You can enter credit card info (for paying others) and bank account info for sending payments and receiving payments. Just remember.....paypal doesn't charge for you to send payments but it does charge for you to receive payments. Ebay also charges a listing fee for your auction and a "final value" fee if the item sells. So when you set a reserve on ebay, don't forget to take into account ALL fees that are charged - Ebay listing fees, final value fees and paypal fees. This can take decent size bite out of you winnings. |

Its not too expensive. They take a small fee (like $0.30) then a percent. So on a $40 item it might be like $3 to $4 or so. Not bad. Just make sure you account for the fees. On ebay and paypal check the fees charged page for the details. I just sold a car on ebay a few weeks ago. Fees are different for cars than small items but it was worth the cost to me. |
Theres always many bids on lots of childrens clothes. I have bid on childrens clothes. I have never sold anything on there but my son has sold his old hockey gear on there. My daughter has some clothes that I got from better department stores and when she outgrows them I am going to sell them on there |
