I couldn't believe it
 

I was outside yesterday evening getting the grill ready to cook on and Mollie was just barking non-stop over by the fence where we have a box that we roll our waterhouse up in. Anyway I went over and opened it up to move it around a little to show her that there was nothing in it.

Surprise!!!!!!!!!! A rat was under it. Scared me half to death. Back in the spring we had traps set by our chimney and caught about 6 or 7 in a weeks time.

I decided to go ahead and reset the traps, peanut butter and a couple pieces of dog food works great. We went over to one of our friends house last night and didn't get back in until after 12. I got up with Jimmy this morning he had to go into work and went outside to check the traps.

To my surprise there were 4 baby rats 2 on each trap. No wonder Mollie has been going nuts over the last few weeks. I've had to get up after I've went to bed and hubby is still up and Mollie is outside barking her fool head off to make her come in and close the dog door off.

Sorry for rambling. I just wonder how many more we're going to catch. The one I so under the hose was bigger than these guys.

Hope I didn't gross anyone out. I hate rodents. They just completely gross me out.

i can imagine you were grossed out i HATE stuff like that
i have a little mouse that is in my house i cant get rid of it to save my life it seems and it drives snickers crazy!!
the damn thing ate thru my dishwasher wires!

maybe you should get a cat for outside lol that what we did at the barn and never had any more mice! good luck!

OMG That would freak me out. I can deal with mice and snakes and even huge spiders, but A RAT, would scare me to death.

I've got a big pregnant farm cat that you need! Your Mollie was just going back to her roots and hunting them down!

YUCK!!! I HATE stuff like that (mice, rats, etc). They are nasty!

We live out in the country and know things are out there, but luckily, are two big outside dogs keep everything away. They will even go after a moth to get it away from the house....crazy dogs!

Oh, my DH found a huge black snake in his shop! Scared him to death. He was sitting on the cement floor working and got up to get something and when he came back, there that snake was, coiled up where he was sitting. Weird. Anyway, he looks it in there, because he doesn't have any other critters in there. But still.............
