Oh and while I have no problems with snakes, aren't you worried about them getting out?? They could kill and eat your other small animals. I would be soooo afraid to have one because if it got out my other animals would be in danger. |
I have 9 animals all together and will be adding some more soon. I have 4 dogs, a cocker spaniel (Peppi), yorkiepoo (Trixie), yorkie (Scampers), and maltese (Poptart). 2 cats, one is long haired (Peaches) and the other is short/medium hair (Oreo) 1 long haired mini lop rabbit (Cricket) and 2 chinchillas, one is gray (Gizmo) and the other is black (Kona). I don't have pictures on this computer, I will have to post them when I get on the other one. |

How many yorkies I was really interested in reading about how many pets everyone has. I grew up with always lots of animals in my house ( 2 dogs, multiple cats, pet mice) We have Freyja and I was wondering if it would be a good idea to get her a yorkie friend to live with to keep her company during the day. I love the yorkie breed so much I know I would love another. I work part-time and my husband is retired and working from home for now. We both spend a lot of time with Freyja, walking, playing, grooming and cuddling. Do you think it would be a good idea to get another? How do yorkies react when you add an addition to the family? Any suggestions? Patti |
i say if you have the time money and love why not add another???? |

Regarding Yorkies and new animals - we never had a problem with Mojo. (course, all are different). He was so spoiled and the only "one" for so long. So, we figured he would hate anything that we brought home. But we were wrong..... We had gotten my daughter a kitten and Mojo just LOVED her to death. Course, we ended up finding a good home for her because we figured out that we don't do well with cat hair! When we got our German Sheppard, we were alittle worried because she was so much bigger than Mojo, but she loves him and guards him well. He likes her too and they play and snuggle together. Then, we got Luke - a huge intact male! Mojo didn't seem to mind him much (just when he got around his food or if we got on to Luke for something, then Mojo had to "help"), but he seemed jealous of Mojo. We got him fixed and he hasn't had a problem since. He never acted like he would hurt Mojo or anything. I just think it was an attention thing. Plus, he was intact and thought he was the "man" of the house! Course, they are never alone together, but they get along great! I would just watch closely. |
