GREAT book to add to your library!
 
I bought this book a few years ago and it's been such a Godsend to me. It's called: The Dog Owner's Guide To Yorkshire Terriers and it's written by Jackie Ransom. It has EVERYTHING in it...health care, training, breeding and showing.

If you can find it, get it...you won't be let down!

I think I found it on half.com for .75! I think it's an older edition though... 1989. But it should have the same stuff in it right?

Cheryl, mine is a revised edition 1997 but should have the same info. The pictures in the book are dated, though. The feathered, wing back hair for people! LOL

Oh, so I'll get to laugh at the pictures too. I'll never forget when I was in my teens my Aunt told me that I should get my hair feathered...:yelrotflm

I remember the wing backs but I'm more from the "poof" era...LOTS OF HAIRSPRAY! LOLOL!!!!!!!!

It's really cheap on half.com! It's as low as $1.15 now. The media mail is only $2.50 for shipping! I get all of my books from there when I can. Here is his list of books from there:

Also, does anyone recommend, "Yorkshire terriers for dummies"? I have been thinking about buying it but it is still at a higher price than the others.

I have gotten a lot of used books from Amazon.com. They have all been in excellent condition. I'll look for that one. Thank Kimberly.

I have "Dummies" and I've referred to it alot. It actually has a lot of good information.

I'll have to check out half.com for the other one! Thanks for the reccommendation!

BTW, I had feathered hair in Jr. High/High School.:eek: ..oops, perhaps I'm showing my age!

Thank you for the info!! I can never read too many yorkie books. I will look for it. I am not interesting in breeding, but I want all the help I can get in order to be a better owner!!
