Take some newspaper and start cutting and trying it on your yorkie. Eventually you will get the idea of what you need to do. They are really very simple. I prefer the patterns where it has two closings. One around the neck and the other around the chest. it doen't seem to be as restricting as the ones with leg holes. |

I just got the stronger velcro as I didn't feel too comfortable with the other. Check out the cute little fasteners for bib overalls in the button department at Jo Ann's Fabrics, they are so cute, I got them to do Baby Blessing a pair of levi bibs and also the teddy bear buttons, they are in a copper color. By the way thats how I knit the sweaters for Baby Blessing but they are put over the head with the ribbing for the neck and then the body part is beyond the front legs and there is no velcro to fasten, more in a tubular knit, I don't like the ones with the holes for legs either, the fun fur really makes soft and fluffy sweaters. |
i would love to see your finished projects!! |
Hi, Here are some links to free online patterns: http://www.sewing.circleofcrafters.c...stpattern.html http://www.sewing.circleofcrafters.c...sspattern.html I had great difficulty resizing the dress to fit. So to make a pretty dress I recommend you use the vest pattern (that seemed to resize properly) to make the top part of the dress and don't resize the skirt bit. I've made a couple heaps of pretty little dresses with this pattern. I used iron on transfers, lace anglaise, and ribbons to make each little dress different and special. Have fun sewing! |
