So, we got Hobbs primarily from the cartoon Calvin & Hobbes. There is also a historical philosopher named Thomas Hobbes, which the cartoon character was actually named after, but most people aren't aware of that. (The character Calvin was named after John Calvin.) We took the "e" in the middle out of the name because we didn't want people calling him "Hobbies." :p As for Hootie, a nice lady on YT, Oscar's Mom, actually suggested the name. I had a list of names that I liked and I posted them on YT to get votes from people to see which one I should pick. On the list was "Tootie." So, Oscar's Mom suggested that I name her Hootie, since the "H" would go well with Hobbs. My hubby and I both LOVED it, so that is how we got Hootie! :p |

I no longer have a myspace or facebook page because most potential employers and graduate schools actually look those up. All students at my college got warning emails about what we put on these sites, such as pictures at parties and/or drinking and social habits. The administrators and some professors had a meeting at my college about these websites. I just don't feel comfortable sharing intimate details of my personal life with anyone that can go online and look it up. Just one aspect to consider... |
Myspace now has a feature where you can set your profile to private no matter how old you are...no one can look at you except your friends! |

I changed mine to that just now. Never thought of it till I saw some of ya'll's on there. That way I can see who people are b/f the see me and my fam.:thumbup: |
I don't divulge anything too personal on MySpace. So, I don't really care who looks at it! :p As for my facebook page, I made it very conservative. For "interests" I put things on there like "working hard," "learning," ect. I HOPE potential employers or school administrators look at my page. HA! I have outsmarted them! ;) |
