Sad/Confused/Angry I need to spill on something. I really don't know what went wrong between my boyfriend, and myself. Last night at a bar in front of his friends, he broke up with me. It took all the power inside of me not to punch him. He said he can't stay home anymore, and this relationship just isn't working. After 3 years, how could it not work????? I'm just so pissed right now. I screamed and told him how I felt, but all he could say was he was F****** sorry. What kind of answer is that??? I'm sorry everyone, I just need to vent. :( :( |
oh wow. In front of his friends ? that says alot right there - man was that NOT the way to do what he did. I\'m sorry you all broke up - but it sounds like maybe he isn\'t ready for a one on one ? Are you living together ? IF you are - that\'s chickens*it what he did - and the way he did it. If that happened to me in front of people - I think I\'d have said - "oh wow - I was just going to say the SAME TO YOU DUDE" and walked out. |

We don\'t live together, but he stays at my place 75% of the time! I know it\'s hitting me hard, but I\'m more concered about my dogs. Zoey loves him to death, and it\'ll hit her just as hard as it\'s hit me. I told him he has until 3 to come get his s*** out of my house. She\'s sad and depressed now. I can tell in her eyes she misses him. What an a**hole. |

Poor girl - why not take your time letting him get his stuff out - let him go see how the real world is and maybe he\'ll realize you 2 have more than he thinks together ? The grass is always greener. Believe me - I did the same with a boyfriend who lived with me and within a week I was really missing him. Course I didn\'t do it in front of anyone. That really DID suck how your b/f did that. |

I\'m extremely hurt, and I told him to come get his ****, but Zoey misses him the most. She\'s sitting by the door waiting for him to come home. I tried taking her mind off of him, but it\'s not working. He has affected more people than he thought. His problem is that he rather party with his friends, and get drunk every weekend. Hello? he works full time, plus goes to school. Where does he find the time and energy to do all this? |
I\'m so sorry this happened to you. What a lousy way to do it, too. As much as you may love him, and as horrible as you will feel for a while, a man who will hurt you in this manner probablyisn\'t someone you want in your life. If he truly is feeling this way after 3 years together, please don\'t waste any more of your time on him. There is someone out there that has all the qualities you are looking for. Expect the best and NEVER SETTLE. But, whatever happens you know we\'ll be here to support you. Give little Zoey extra hugs and kisses. Why not treat the two of you to something special today... |
I\'m sorry for the break up but I think that doing it in fornt of his friends was waaaaay out of line. You think he\'d have more respect for you after 3 years. You deserve better and so does Zoey. Zoey will eventually et over it but it will take time. |
Oh wow, I am so very sorry. sending a big :ghug: . I cannot believe that anyone would be so hard hearted and hurtful. Was he drunk? Maybe he had a few too many and got stupid. Now for my humble opinion: Oh man! What a jerk! I know that you are hurting terribly, and hurt, and angry, and embarassed. But you are so much better off without someone who can\'t get his priorities straight. Part of Zoey\'s reactions are a mirror of yours. Once you settle down and "recover" she will get back to normal. You and Zoey deserve so much better! I\'m with you.... I\'d give the dude 24 hours to remove all of his stuff or it would be in the dumpster. |
I know it\'s tough girl... but every day will get easier. Just remember that NO MAN IS WORTH YOUR TEARS... AND THE ONLY ONE WHO IS WILL NEVER MAKE YOU CRY! You should take your puppy to the groomer and take yourself out to a salon for the day. You deserve so much better than that. When you think down deep inside were you really happy with him? If he drinks that much and behaves that way around his friends? There are men out there that will respect you more than that. I have been through a terrible break up before. My first love was for 3 years. But now I realize that I wasn\'t happy and I just stayed with him because I was comfortable. But I don\'t regret that relationship even though I hate the guy now. If it wasn\'t for that I wouldn\'t see the great qualities in my husband and cherish that. You will find your guy out there someday. But it always happens when you\'re not looking. take care |
Man that really sucks. What a jerk to do it in front of his friends. A little word of advice, from the mother of 5 girls, to all you single girls in long term relationships. If the guy doesn\'t know after 6 months whether or not he wants to spend the rest of his life with you, then it\'s time for YOU to move on. Sometimes these relationships make it too convenient for a guy to have the best of both worlds. A girl needs to start pushing after 6 months. And if it drives him away, then it never would have worked out anyway. Sorry if that seems too harsh, but it is the reality. |
What an A@@!!! Is it safe to say that when he did it, he was drunk at the time? Whether it be a 3 year relationship or 6 mths, he owed you the courtesy of discussing your breakup one-on-one, in privacy - NOT in a crowded place in front of his friends. Doing so to me says that he was trying to avoid having the BIG TALK with you and just wanted to do it quick and dirty, with his friends around to back him up - and surrounded by people to avoid a \'scene\'. I\'ve been through the ringer with guys - I know how it feels to have your heart broken and not know why. I\'m so sorry for you and your furbaby, but like someone else suggested, do something for YOU today and try to forget about him. 3 years is a long time... and I know it\'s easier said than done, but now you can start thinking about YOU and do things you couldn\'t do before. Life is too short to waste on someone who doesn\'t respect you - which he clearly does not. Good luck, I hope everything works out in your favor - and I would just pack his stuff up and leave it on the lawn for him to pick up - you certainly don\'t owe him any favors. |
Thanks everyone for such kind words. I\'ve decided to let Zoey have just as much fucn as I\'m having. My sister helped me move all of his stuff outside, and we\'re have a garage sell! All the proceeds will go to the local Aminal Shelter here. I also dropped her off to the doggy spa, and she seemed sort of excited. I told them to pamper her, the price doesn\'t matter to me right now. I just want to see her happy running up and down my apartment hyper again. I know she\'s probably more worried about me and I am of her. I\'ll be fine. I think a lot of factors put a starin on our relationship because we\'re from two different races. i wish his parents could see me through the color of my skin, but some people are just ignorant. :thumbdown Thanks again for all the very throughful words, you guys are my second family..and I love yall. :ghug: |
