Tortuuuuuuuure!!!!! gah! I can't take this heat anymore! :eek: It was something like 103 out today, and the heat index was 117! it's crazy! I'm moving to Alaska! According to Yahoo, the high is supposed to be 98 here tomorrow. I don't believe them. when it's too hot to go to the pool, you know it's bad. My dad's friend was at the beach last week, he said they could only spend like 20 minutes on the beach before they were burning. we leave for the beach saturday, it BETTER be cooler by then or I won't be too enjoyable to be around. :rolleyes: yeah I just had to get that out lol. |
I know what you mean, Megan. It's been sweltering here, too. Why today, it must have hit 65 degrees in the sun. I darned near took off my sweater, it was so hot! |

I'm in NJ too, and it's so hot that I won't take Google outside unless we're going STRAIGHT INTO THE POOL. And it's so warm out there that he "air dries" in like 2 minutes after taking him out! Wild! So we go, swim, drip-dry then run right back into the air-conditioning--it's the only way we can get exercise this week! :tongue012 |
I do feel for you poor baked creatures down there. I got a taste of those 100-plus temps in Vegas last month, and you can have them. Eddie walked outside and just stopped. He wouldn't bend over to pick up a treat. Oh, and Megan: NO! |

Now I know where the heat went. It was getting down right unbearable here last week. 110 - 117 :eek: We couldn't even get relief from the pool. It felt more like a bath. Even at night. It was horrible! We have had a major cooling trend going on since Sunday. It's been cool enough for a sweater in the am. And that's usually unheard of this time of year. But the news says that the heat is going to be back soon. I'm just hoping it's not going to get as hot as it has been! Our 5 day forecast looks like we can look forward to upper 80's to mid 90's. Still hot but not as bad as it has been. Drink lots of water! I almost went down at the market due to dehydration. It was very scary! I honestly thought I was having a stroke. |
