Ever heard of a MiKi???? My good friend keeps talking about getting a "MiKi". It is very small like a Yorkie....but, looks parti-colored.... Anyone know where these dogs came from or anything else about them???? |
Here is a link with info: http://www.americanmi-kiregistryassociation.com/I almost bought one but they are just too hard to come by. What attracted me to them besides size and personality was their ability to use a litter box. They have been described as very cat-like. |
they are cute..:) |
what are they a cross between? |
The following was taken directly from the history section of the Mi-Ki website: We do, however, know that our Mi-Ki share ancestry with the Maltese, Papillion, and Japanese Chin. |
I've never heard of them, but the Long coat ones do resemble the Japanese Chin. Cute dogs. |
OMG what precious looking doggies!!! I love it!! I want one!!!!!!!!!! |
I see them every year at the pet fair and they are adorable. They can look like a pom, chi, chin, pappillion etc. They are very expensive. I also don't like the cut some of them are in but they seem real sweet. |
Well, I learned something new. I had never heard of a MiKi before but they are certainly cute. Are they recognized by the AKC?:animal-pa |
I'd looked at Miki's (for a minute) before finally deciding on a yorkie. They are cute, but there is something about a yorkie... |
They are very cute. I've never heard of them before either. |
I have never heard of them before but they sure are cute! |
I have never heard of them before but they are cute as a button |
I have a 10 month old MiKi. He's at the small end at 3 lbs. He is a very calm, sweet puppy. They are cat like in mannerisms much like the Japanese Chin. They are difficult to obtain from a reliable breeder. I also think the Yorkie is #1 but the MiKi I have isn't as high maintenance as my late Yorkie was as far as health issues. It's luck I guess.
