I have a picture that my husband had taken back when I was little, that no one can see (okay, not a naughty picture, but nothing to show the family, ya know) ;) Anyway, it stays with me as encouragement to get back to that shape again! :D Hey, it helps!! (plus, my husband likes to see it every now and then) Oh, I did forget:rolleyes: ..........my newest doctor put me on Phentermine/Adipex for a month a while back (maybe 5 months ago), but they made me really jittery and my heart raced all the time. So, I wasn't even on them a month. He said that they effect everyone differently, and that he was only allowed to have poeple on them for maybe two months at a time. Strange! He then gave me a perscription for Meridia, but I never filled it. For one, it cost alot more than I thought I wanted to pay and then I didn't want to pay that amount for something that would make me feel weird. (apparently, I can't take alot of medicines - learned something new there). Anyway, I have been working hard - got up to 5 miles a day on the treadmill (not everyday anymore, but between 3-5 miles) - which I burned up the breaker/fuse in my treadmill!, work in the yard more and such (one of the main reasons I haven't been on YT much). I eat what I want, just watch it and drink lots of water and green tea (a taste that had to grow on me). I still get bored with water sometimes, but you can use the new Crystal Light and stuff now too. I also use flax seed and other ingredients like that in my foods. I FEEL and LOOK so much better, just from dropping weight and eating better. I can tell when I don't drink enough water or eat well because I get cranky, moody and tired. I just become a different person. That is another thing that keeps me on the "right path". PM anytime! I would love to chat about my stories and what I do and/or try that I like and don't like. Good luck to you! |

And now that I am 30, it is SO hard to lose weight. I miss being 20! |

My problem, is that I normally get rid of THAT "good" fat, but since I have been working hard on my own, I have noticed that "they" have stayed put! My goal is 120-125 (more on the upper side, I guess). I am 5'5 (give or take). My doctor said 130 would be good, but I don't know! We will see! I just hope I can get over this plateau I am on right now! |

I wanted to say, we rescued a big black lab (Luke) from a life in a cage (he was a kennel stud dog). We took him to the vet yesterday to get checked and "fixed" and he weighed 99.6lbs! BIG dog! He is good exercise! His long legs keeps us running! So, if all else fails.......rescue a big (long legged) dog! :p |
Jenn...You sound like you really are doing great ! 3 miles in the treadmill is outstanding ! last time I used mine I got bored - how do you do it ? you and I are the same height.... and that's about my regular weight - 120-125 is a good weight for that height. and on the picture ...I'm nosy - I want to see it LOL !! It must be a good one if you can't share it - (I have a few of those hehe - fully clothed but a little ''ris-kay') :D and congratulations on Luke and saving him from an awful life - that's awesome and he must be soooooo happy with his new family !! |

But for those taller women - I can see how sizes and such would be confusing AND hard to find.....just like us 'big boobed' women LOL - I don't think I OWN a button up the front shirt and when I did buy them - they just never fit right.... I am praying to the Boob God that I lose some there when I lose this weight. If I could ship some Boob to someone - LINE UP HERE !:D[/QUOTE] Vilette I will be next in line behind you to give some away, some women are buying them and we are trying to get rid of them LOL |

JEEZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ I haven't been a size 2-3 SINCE I was 2-3. OMG... I don't even want to hear you all complain about being poor size 5's and such:rolleyes: Let me know when somebody actually reaches a real size and then I will listen:p OOPPS by the way guys... I drink 15 yes 15 or so servings of water a day and the weightloss is STILLLL going slow. YES it's going but slow but sure. I believe all the water just fills a hunger void and keeps me from snacking like I used to. On the up side. My skin is looking better;) |

Hi all! Sorry for not being on YT today - been busy........busy working on getting rid of some hated pounds! :D Three miles on the threadmill was tough...at first! :tired: Then, it became easy and it was actually easier to get to five miles! Really! The five miles was a whole lot easier than getting to my first 3 miles!!! I have a tray on mine, where I can keep my water, yogurt, almonds/blueberries, magazine/book, etc. Yes, I read and eat on my threadmill. My doctor doesn't know how I do it, but I do. - well, not when I do my spurts of running. (that would be hard wouldn't it?) I think if it wasn't for being able to read or eat my breakfast on there, I couldn't stand to be on it so much! And Villette - no luck on ever seeing my picture! :p Regarding labs, my husband and I have had labs even before we were married. Some are very hyper and destructive and others aren't. I think it is all in the training - which, some are easier to train than others. They are just like people, they are all different (different attitudes, personalities, etc). We had one that ate everything - I mean EVERYTHING! :( He would eat rags from my husbands shop, small stuffed animals (yes, the whole thing), etc. Luckily, they all passed naturally without surgery. One was so protective, he wouldn't even let my husband on the porch one day, no matter how much training we gave him, he never changed and had to go to a new home. Which was for the best. One (my husbands favorite) was 116lbs when he passed on! :fallen: Yes, 116 pounds! He was over-weight, but not by much - he was just a huge full-blooded AKC lab! That was over 4 years ago and my husband (just 2 months ago) said he was finally ready for another one! :heart to Okay, most of our labs have been rescues (like most of our animals - well, except for Mojo). So, for us, their history played a big part in how they act. AND sometimes, no matter how much love and training you give them, some never fully recover from their past experiences! Poor Babies!! Luke is a very gentle giant and was somewhat trained when we got him. The family had several kids that were home all the time, so he loves to be around kids and people. He doesn't chase after the deer and has not touched anything in the yard (new planted flowers, shoes left out to dry, etc). Yes, we are lucky to have such a good rescue with him! |
Hey.....I'm curious on what you have tired that worked and/or didn't work to lose weight. Would anyone be willing to share? I will start....... I quit my Mtn. Dew habit over a year ago - I mean, I was BAD! It was nothing to have seven cans, bottles, cups a day!!! Yes, really! I felt good at the time, but boy, did it do some damage. Anyway, I always heard of people dropping up to 10lbs (some more, some less) from quitting carbonated drinks, but I DID NOT!!! I don't mind so much now, because if I try to drink a Sprite, it makes my stomach instantly hurt (too sweet or something). Please share, that way, maybe we can all get some ideas (course, I know what works for one, may not work for the other) - it's fun to hear what everyone else likes and doesn't. |
LOL ! You got a buffet on the treadmill ! That cracks me UP. I used to smoke while on mine - (I don't smoke in the house anymore) but my son used to laugh at me ...I had my little tv and ashtray right there - but never thought to have food....It must take you over an hour to hit 5 miles and on Weight loss....I wish I could help you - 3 years ago I cut WAY down on the Diet Pepsi and had Rice Cakes at night instead of desert and got down to 114 lbs :) :) :) I LOVED being that size ....but everyone told me I was too thin:( .....Oh - and Lean Cuisines are good for a meal - they taste better than Healthy Choice. NOW I want to drop 25 lbs....and am on the Nutrisystem Diet Plan - just started 1 DAY ago and a monkey could lose weight on this plan. I will NOT cheat - drank a ton of water AND didn't miss my diet soda !! I had ONE diet soda last night....and no headache or anything from the lack of caffiene. |

Hey, it is NOT a buffet......okay, maybe getting close;) . I DO have to have something on there though to do. Smoking on a treadmill, wow, that is extreme! Only you!:D I can not remember how long it took to get to 3 or 5 miles on the treadmill, my DH can't remember either  I will have to time it, but I know that the longer I did it, the shorter it became - which is good! I figured that someone else would add what they have tried and liked and disliked, but I guess not:( I was just curious anyway. :p Good luck on your new plan - PM me if you see any extreme changes (okay, even the slightest pound off) :D |
LOL Jen - I WILL let you know - it's day 2 and I have to stop counting days ...they're going to drag but I'm doing really good. I'm trying to figure how to get my apples and stuff on MY treadmill lol ....Remember that Diet commercial where the guy sets up his dog on the treadmill and he goes out ? I always thought that was the funniest thing.... I forgot - when I used to walk on my treadmill I carried Chanel with me LOL - my arm used to wear out before my legs - she LOVED it - her little head would be just bobbing up and down each step and she's have this dopey grin on her face - "LOOK!!! I'm helpin Mom and we're WALKING" !!! :p :p |

I was told not to get on the scales every day too, but I can't resist. They say that it can sit you back and make you get stressed/depressed if you haven't lost any or gained alittle back! Who knows though - I get on the scales ALL the time! :D Mojo isn't quiet sure what to think of the treadmill. We moved it up to our bedroom from the downstairs playroom. He just lays on the bed and is just dying for me to get off of it. :) Which, it is tempting to get off earlier, just to get some good ol' Mojo lovins!!! But, alas, I keep on truckin! Oops......better log off......it is past my dinner time! |
1 Attachment(s) I will show you guys something, my son will kill me luckly he doesn't get on YT, He started on Dec. 1 2005, and just drunk water, ate very healthy I think 1200 calories, and walk all the time...But what he did was take pics of himself every other day and measured himself once a week but only weighed every 2 weeks...this is him in May of this year only 5 months after he started.. I made him go to the doctor cause it really scared me how much he lost (he needed to but wait till you see his pics) the doctor did blood work and check him out and told him he was fine... Reason I am telling you this and showing you his pics, he said doing it that way was the easy and he didn't get depressed cause he could see a change in his body by putting the pics on the computer and comparing instead of weighing(most of his pics were in his boxers)...I started this 2 months ago and have lost 15 pounds but trust me you will not see my pics on here...lol:D He went from 268 to 166 |

Wow.. he really looks fit now:thumbup: . I know a pix is ALWAYS what's gets me up off my bootie to start dieting again. i see this pix of myself after putting lbs. back on and think OMG ... How can that be ME!!!!!!! I DID lose 10 lbs. the first 2 weks after cutting OUT at soda's. I was only drinking DIET soda but the caffiene and carbonation was packing the weight on me BIG TIME. I drank about 6 a day of the 24 ounce kind. The most dramartic change I had by cutting out ALL Soda's or ANYTHING Carbonated, EVEN carbonated flavored water, was that my HUGE stomach that looked about to give birth to a healthy little baby....LOLOLOLOLOL...... DEFLATED like a popped ballon to a respectable CHUB. Now I just look fat instead of PREGNANT:p :p :p :p |
