OMG I can not believe the stupidity of some people. Especially people who proclaim they love dogs. My next door neighbor is an idiot. She owns a male maltipoo who just turned a year old. She went out today and bought a female maltipoo and intends on breeding them once the female goes into heat! This lady knows nothing about breeding, has never whelped a litter in her life and has told me, point blank, that she's doing this for the money :eek: "Because people pay big bucks for designer poos" - She actually said that to me! Not to mention she registered the male maltipoo as a purebred maltese with the CKC. The female looks to be maybe 6 months old, so I'm sure she'll be coming into heat soon, if she hasn't yet. I've tried to talk some sense into her but she won't listen. I guess I'll have to camp out on the lawn if her dog does have pups to warn buyers that the pups aren't purebred maltese :mad:

I dont understand how people can do that to there pets .I think $$ signs is all people think about anymore . that poor female to be bred before her time .and how can she register her pups to be pure bred when they are mixed. :mad:

I agree. Her male hasn't had any health testing. She registered her male with the CKC and all you need is 2 witnesses and 2 pictures (I believe) and you can register your dog as whatever you want. I don't know if the female is registered or not, but I'm sure if she isn't, my neighbor will do the same with her....

wow, the nerve of some people i tell ya. i used to be friends (hence the words used to) .. with this girl who was a very irresponsible byb. i tried many times to tell her about the risks for the animals but she didn't care.. she even wanted me to breed oreo and ginger so she can help me sell them.. :thumbdown :mad: i was furious.

well i don't talk to her anymore, last i heard the poor 2 litters died :( :mad: tsk tsk tsk. i hope ckc does something about it!

I hope they do something also, that is ridiculous. People like that never seem to have a concious(mp) But, when will thwy realize that the world isn't flat...What you do wil come back to get you.... :mad:

Serisouly Ignorance is painful! Everytime someone knows that I paid $500 for Baby (which was a good price) they say "OH man so you can breed her and make lots of money" and i try to remind them of all of the poor animals sitting in shelters right now and that the last thing this world needs is me helping in making more. Baby is a family member, I had her spayed as soon as possible to ensure there wouldn't be any accidents. I have heard that spaying before the first heat has a lot of health benefits, and i will do whatever I can to keep my Baby here with me as long as she is living a wonderful healthy comfortable life. Oh how i love her.

Sorry to go off the subject. Maybe you could steal your neigbors dog and take one of them to the vet for neutering and then a few weeks later (after they healed) say they turned up on your doorstep!!!! Sounds good to me!

That is very disturbing. The problem is that when there is people out there that will buy this so called designer dogs, this people without morals will breed just to make a buck. :mad:

Tell me about it...everybody thinks they are a dog specialist. My family thinks i am crazy because of the way i treat Mojo...i do not care, they don't pay my bills and as far as i am concerned, Mojo matters more to me than a LOT of humans. My own cousin has a yorkies and wants to get a female to breed him with....i am not gonna help her, they hardly ever care for the one they have, they know nothing about breeding and just wanna do for the money...

People just do not respect an animals life and suffering:(

Yea! 6 months is way too young to have puppies, imo. I was told to wait until after 18 months or so for the first litter... :mad:
