Need Some Help Guys, Please? ok this is going to be a long post b/c i am one of those people that has to explain everything.....first of all what is that website that you can look to see if someone has reported a breeder? ok, here goes, i work at the chamber of commerce and a few days ago we had a man call from out of state that said he had sent a money order ($1000) to a Main Line Kennels last thursday and since then he hasn't been able to get ahold of them. i did a quick yahoo search b/c i had never heard of them and neither had my boss this is their website http://www.mainlinekennels.com/Page%203.htm but i also found this today http://www.mainlinekennels.com/ i called the number listed and only got an answering machine. well today the lady that runs the our OASIS Animal Shelter and is an investigator for animal cruelty pretty much every thing to do with animal rights told us that that guy is bad news. his name is Jamie Venable and he fights pit bulls and roosters (?) and is part of an underground ring for pit bull fighting. she warned us that he is and i quote "one of those guys you don't mess with, he is the type that if you mess with he will find where you live and burn your house down or do something crazy" after a discussion we think that this "Main Line Kennels" is just a front to buy, ship and fight dogs. and i think that the guy that called us is part of the "fighting" and got ripped off. all this really made me mad and i want to do something but she knows the laws and said we can't do anything to the guy unless we see the dogs fighting, which she has tried to do until one day he scared her pretty bad (and this isn't a lady that backs down easily) do you guys have any suggestions?? i can't stand the thought of these poor dog being fought. she said that he had alot of them and i mean alot. she said him and some other from surronding towns have a "underground" magazine called Blood Sport that actually shows pics of the tdogs fighting, and she says the pictures are absolutley horrible. so i'm asking for your help on ideas or suggestions. she is willing to try and bring this guy down but like i said she knows the laws word for word and if he isn't "caught in the act" then nothing can be done. |
I always wanted to go "underground" with a hidden camera and film puppy mills. Maybe someone you know could do that with this guy. NOT YOU!!!!! There is a special place in Hell for people who hurt little children and animals.......IMO! :thumbdown |
Check with a big animal protection organization..like PETA for example... |
OH gosh - that is disgusting :(:( I agree, maybe contact one of the bigger animal welfare angencies, such as PETA and see if they may be able to do something. |
I just HATE this....my bf had a pit (it was stollen) a friend bred to his female, sold the puppies and now we know some of the puppies were used for fighting? can you believe this S#IT...at least NOW my bf understands the need of neutering your pets:( |
How sick can people get?! Really this is revolting... please find a way to report him! I dont even want to put to words what they should do to people ( beasts ) that hurt kids or animals! |
you need to contact animal control with your concerns. They usually have an undercover or investigative team to look into those types of cruelty. Dont try to approach them yourself because the underground dog fighting world is not somewhere you want tread by yourself. |
Thanks Everyone thank's for everyone's advice i will try contacting PETA. it just makes me so anger i want to do something and i can't do something myself makes you feel powerless. |

yes, and then the other one donesn't mention it. that lady that i mentioned said it's just a front though. and notice how on one page it says, NO LOCAL CALSS OR SALES. now if you were really looking to board your dog somewhere would you call a place that says that?? don't think so. i'm sure the man that called was involved in pit bull fighting, lost his money but didn't want to call us and say that since he was trying to get his money back b/c if he would have i would've lost my job b/c i would have went off on him!! |
