I have lost all 3 parents (2 bio, 1 Step) in the last 3 years.

My Step Dad passed away in Sept since then I have had to fight legally to remove a jerk co-excutor who refused to step down or do anything leaving me and my family in a stand still of estate matters.

Now 8 months later when everything is almost settled (jerk has been removed) my sister who was estranged from my parents for many years and has done nothing but hurt our family is trying to blackmail me by saying she will contest or refuse to sign if I don't give her more of the estate (which I cannot legally do).

My father left almost everything to me and his grandchildren (my kids) as we were very close to him and my mother before she passed two years before him, but even though my father and sister were not on speaking terms he still left her several thousand dollars. She is lucky to get anything but can make this process cost me years of heartache and tens of thousands of dollars. I just need this to be over so my family and I can heal. Its awful what people will do to others for money.

When I think I'm having a bad year, I know there is always someone having a worst one. So sorry about all your problems. And I know what you mean about sisters and money. I am the oldest but my mother made my younger sister the executor. It took me and my youngest sister weeks to convince her that the best thing to do was to turn everything over to an attorney to handle so there would be no hard feelings, basically because we didn't trust her due to a gambling addiction. I hope you can get things settled with your family and let the healing begin.

a bright spot in a freakin' year.............
 
tonight Sassy had 3 girls and 2 boys. All are doing well. The boys and one girl weigh 4 oz, one of the girls is 3.5 oz, and the last girl born was 5 oz. I got a little worried as she was all curled up and Sassy had a little problem getting her out, but she finally made it. The other ones basically fell out. So far all are doing well.:thumbup:

Last week my husband had to have an MRI. He has to see a neurosurgeon next week and I still haven't found homes for any of my girls. They saying goes, God only gives you what you can handle. Well, my cup is about to run over.
